Skateland is one of Indy’s go-to family entertainment rinks, and the energy hits you the moment you walk in. What makes it stand out is how it blends that classic roller rink feel with a modern arcade and fun themed sessions.
I dropped in on a Saturday, and the DJ kept things moving with great music, shoutouts, and requests that had kids smiling the whole time.
If you’re planning a party, their all-inclusive birthday packages are a big help since they bundle food and activities into one easy plan. I also loved the bright airbrush artwork on the walls because it doubles as built-in party décor and makes photos look amazing.
Just keep in mind that evening sessions can get crowded, especially for younger skaters. Fill out the waiver online first to get inside faster.

Everyone had fun and it was a nice experience
Had my daughter’s birthday party there for the second time and they did an awesome job. There was an issue at the start due to them being behind from the previous session but they were very accommodating to make up for it. The Gallery Event Center is a great pick if you want an industrial chic space and full creative control over your party.
The high-gloss white walls are noticeable from the start, making everything feel bright and polished.
To add customization options, they have adjustable LED lighting, letting you easily change the vibe from soft and elegant to bold and colorful.
What really sets it apart, however, is their open catering policy. This is a big win if you already have a favorite local caterer or you’re trying to keep costs manageable with a DIY food plan.
However, since the space is designed to be a blank canvas, you’ll need to bring your own decorations and personal touches to make it feel more like your celebration. But if you love customizing every detail, this venue makes it easy to build the look you want.

If you’re looking for a high-energy celebration that leans into live entertainment, Howl at the Moon is a premier choice in the Wholesale District.
The vibe here is interactive and loud, as it’s known for the dueling piano show, where musicians perform a wide range of hits based on audience requests.
It’s also a popular destination for milestone birthdays, bachelor/bachelorette parties, and corporate outings. They’re also famous for their oversized 86 oz. buckets, which are fantastic for sharing.
I like how there are several booking options here, from reserved tables for small groups to full-venue buyouts for large celebrations.
However, the strong focus on the party atmosphere and music can make it less appealing for those who prefer a quieter or more relaxed setting. It may not be the best choice if you are looking for a laid-back evening or a place for easy conversation.

What a great time with friends and amazing music from truely talented musicians. This bar offers a large open space and patio. The lower floor near the stage is a great place for a group of friends to get up close to the action and participate. The upper level offers plenty of bar seating and gathering places to rest your feet from hours of dancing. Had a blast!

Want a venue that looks styled before you even bring in a single balloon? The Bliss Space delivers that airy, curated look that photographers love, thanks to all the natural light.
I went to a bridal shower here last spring, and the planning felt surprisingly easy. The owner even shared vendor suggestions and helped the host think through the flow of the event.
That kind of support makes a big difference when you want things to feel polished without overthinking every detail.
I love how this space also comes with chic furniture and a kitchenette, which can cut down on rental costs and simplify food and drink setup. It’s a great fit for about 30 to 50 guests, so the room feels full but not cramped.
Just be mindful that occupancy limits are strict, and since the area is busy, you’ll want to give guests clear parking info.

I love that they specialize in large-scale evening events where there are a lot of moving parts to coordinate.
One host I spoke with mentioned that the RLR team handled a vendor delay so smoothly that guests never noticed anything went wrong. They also use modern event tech to keep music, lighting, and visuals on point.
Just keep in mind that this level of support comes with a higher price tag, and it’s best booked with enough lead time.

The best place to host an event
The best place to host an event. Randall is very helpful and he makes things easier for his clients. The place is nice, counts 6 restrooms, kitchen area that can be used. The staff was also attentive and ready to assist with the requests we made. Great place and service. Highly recommended!
