We extensively test and research all services we review. Here's why you can trust us.

Scalability and Flexibility: A good workspace must adapt to your changing needs as a professional. We looked for locations offering everything from day passes to enterprise suites.

Included Amenities: Hidden fees can quickly drain a small business budget. We prioritized spaces that include essential perks like high-speed internet and meeting room credits in their base price.

Community and Networking: Working independently doesn’t mean you have to work in isolation. We evaluated the quality of built-in networking events and the overall collaborative atmosphere.

Location and Accessibility: A convenient commute improves daily productivity. We considered neighborhood proximity, parking availability, and nearby lifestyle venues.

Whether you need a quiet desk for focused work or a vibrant community to network with other startup founders, finding a coworking space that fits you sets the foundation for your success.

Some can provide you with storage space for your physical assets, and they eliminate the need to hire office cleaning services for a spotless workspace. These are just a few of their perks.

I narrowed your choices to the best coworking spaces in Indianapolis, highlighting ones that may align with your current team size and future goals.

Refinery46’s 30,000-square-foot facility operates as a true small business incubator. They offer an adaptable workspace model that allows you to seamlessly upgrade from a single open desk to a full enterprise suite as your team expands.

When I toured the converted distribution center, I immediately noticed the strong emphasis on community growth through their free mastermind sessions. The all-inclusive pricing is highly cost-effective, covering essentials like parking and unlimited meeting room bookings without any hidden fees.

However, keep in mind that the location in the Broad Ripple area has limited public transit access. This might be a slight inconvenience if you rely heavily on the city bus system.

Pros

  • All-inclusive flat-rate pricing
  • Functions as a business incubator
  • 24/7 facility access
  • Diverse workspace environments

Cons

  • Limited public transit access
  • Located outside the downtown core

great in providing the resources we need

A great coworking space, especially for small businesses. Refinery46 offers several unique space options, including a large training room that can be used for larger conferences and events. They’ve been great in providing the resources we need to help our small business grow.

This multi-location ecosystem provides professionals with the flexibility to work close to home while also enjoying access to other branches across the city. Their strong mission-driven approach includes hosting local workshops and funneling event revenue into nonprofit scholarships.

While the amenities are excellent, their billing structure requires careful attention. They apply interest and a strict penalty fee on overdue payments starting 15 days after the due date.

Pros

  • Membership includes multi-location access
  • Unique historic building design
  • Built-in entertainment and social areas
  • Dedicated podcast studio available

Cons

most vibrant, collaborative clean inviting private shared work space!

Absolutely outstanding coworking space. I have been part of many and this is truly the brightest, most vibrant, collaborative clean inviting private shared work space! The team members that work there are all exceptional too. Truly a place that reflect a more modern workplace for thriving professionals and businesses today!

spacious and so impressive

When I say it is the perfect venue it was perfect. My son-in-law graduated with his Masters in Divinity so we had his graduation party there. With this being a converted church it was very appropriate for lots of church members to celebrate him. It was spacious and so impressive. Several people wanted to tour the facility so much so that I gave several group tours. We were very proud to share a coworking space with a faith-based look and feel. We will plan more events in this location.

3. Outwork Indy

outwork-indy

Website: https://www.outworkindy.com/

Address: 6334 Westfield Blvd, Indianapolis, IN 46220

Contact: +13178545644

Hours: 24/7

You can skip the downtown commute at Outwork Indy. They strategically place fully equipped offices within walkable neighborhoods like Meridian-Kessler and Midtown.

During my time using their meeting spaces, I appreciated the plug-and-play setup that allowed me to get straight to work without any technical delays. They offer a highly adaptable environment that caters equally well to solo freelancers and established corporate teams.

The broad appeal is convenient, though it does mean the environment lacks a specific industry focus. Businesses seeking a highly tailored niche network might find the community a bit too generalized.

Pros

  • Convenient neighborhood locations
  • Virtual office and mailing services
  • Walkable to local dining
  • Turnkey furnished offices

Cons

  • Lacks niche industry focus

appreciate having access to the individual meeting rooms

Excellent and affordable coworking and office space. My company operates out of Bloomington, Indiana, but we needed a private office to work in for those of us who live in Indianapolis. We especially appreciate having access to the individual meeting rooms for solo virtual meetings and the board rooms for team meetings. The location in Broad Ripple is perfect. We love having access to local coffee shops and restaurants.

been a fantastic experience

The best Coworking space I’ve ever worked from in Indianapolis! Our company recently began leasing two offices in the upstairs coworking space, and it has been a fantastic experience. The offices are spacious, and we love the easy access to large meeting spaces and boardrooms for our whole team meetings.

Madeline and Addison have been incredibly helpful and accommodating. You also can’t beat the location, right off the Monon in Broad Ripple!

industrious

Address: 350 Massachusetts Ave # 300, Indianapolis, IN 46204

Contact: +13177340360

Hours: Monday – Friday: 8:30 AM–5 PM

Industrious distinguishes itself by providing a premium coworking space with daily complimentary breakfasts and fully furnished suites.

Located right on Massachusetts Avenue, this space caters heavily to hybrid teams needing a quiet and highly professional atmosphere. Their national network access is a significant advantage for distributed workforces requiring reliable infrastructure in multiple cities.

Unfortunately, the elevated service level does come with a noticeable cost. Monthly pricing starts higher than average, making it a potentially steep investment for early-stage entrepreneurs.

Pros

  • High-end hospitality services
  • Prime downtown location
  • Access to a national network
  • Quiet and professional atmosphere

Cons

  • Premium monthly pricing

clearly dedicated to building a great community in their space

This may end up being the most beautiful office in Indianapolis when it is finished.

The rooftop is stunning, and the all glass design on the interior combines elegant and modern with professionalism.

Not to mention, Taylor and Danyelle, who are in charge of the community, are genuine and clearly dedicated to building a great community in their space.

Excited to see the finished product in November!

Abigail Cole, Google Review

absolutely beautiful!

Industrious is the perfect addition to Mass Ave and an ideal location for anyone looking for a co-working space with a professional and modern appeal! The office is absolutely beautiful! The staff is wonderful and attentive to all the details! They include everything in your membership (drinks, food, happy hours, printing, wifi, and more!) I would highly recommend Industrious to anyone looking into co-working in downtown Indy!

Their straightforward pricing includes round-the-clock access and essential amenities like printing and meeting room credits. Visitors can easily take advantage of their inexpensive day passes without committing to a full membership.

That said, their administrative services have some capacity constraints. Private mailboxes are limited and assigned on a first-come basis, which could be problematic if you receive frequent packages.

Cons

  • Limited private mailboxes

welcoming, informative, and make the whole experience smooth from the start

If you’re looking for a private office or coworking space in the downtown/Fountain Square area, Switchboard is the spot to be! Tina and Emily are welcoming, informative, and make the whole experience smooth from the start. The community is friendly, and I love that they host monthly events to keep everyone engaged (when you want to be). Perfect mix of professional and inviting—highly recommend!

conducive to productivity and motivation

Switchboard, LLC is a top-notch coworking space that I highly recommend. The space is well-designed and offers a modern, open layout with plenty of natural light. It is an environment that is conducive to productivity and motivation, making it an excellent place to work. They go out of their way to make sure that all members feel welcomed and included, which is crucial when working in a shared space.
