We extensively test and research all services we review. Here's why you can trust us.

Portfolio Diversity and Impact: We analyzed the variety of industries each agency has served to ensure they can handle different aesthetics. This helps us confirm that their creative output is versatile and not limited to a single "look."

Client Feedback and Reputation: Our team looked at local testimonials and industry standing to gauge the reliability of their project management. We prioritized agencies that have a proven track record of meeting deadlines and staying within the agreed budget.

Service Range and Specialization: We evaluated whether the firms offer a full suite of services or specialize in niche areas such as neuromarketing or nonprofit growth. This allows us to recommend the best fit for specific business needs, from startups to large corporations.

Local Market Integration: We favored companies that actively participate in the local economy and understand the regional consumer mindset. This is to make sure these agencies really understand the Indianapolis business landscape and community.

Your visual identity serves as your first handshake in the market. It’s the immediate, defining impression of your brand.

That’s why you deserve a team that pairs a deep understanding of the Midwest landscape with world-class execution across branding and digital development. But I get it, finding the right creative partner in a bustling hub like Indy can feel like a second career.

To save you the legwork, we’ve vetted the local talent to identify the best design agencies in Indianapolis. Here are the agencies that actually listen to your goals and produce work that converts visitors into loyal customers!

1. Bone & Bloom

Area Served: Indianapolis, IN

Contact: [email protected]

Hours: 24 Hours

If you’re looking for a studio that treats your brand like a living story, Bone & Bloom is a fantastic choice. Abby Saylor, the founder, has a real knack for blending lifestyle aesthetics with purposeful branding.

When we looked into their process, we were impressed by how they handle everything from social media strategy to print assets in one cohesive package.

We found them especially great for entrepreneurs in fashion or real estate who need that “curated” look. Their web design services are particularly notable, creating visually stunning sites that seamlessly integrate your brand story.

However, their smaller boutique operation might make it hard for them to keep up with massive, high-volume corporate accounts that require a large team around the clock.

That said, for personal brands and lifestyle businesses, the level of direct collaboration you get here is hard to find elsewhere.

Pros

  • Highly personalized collaboration
  • Lifestyle industry expertise
  • Cohesive digital and print assets
  • Founder-led industry experience

Cons

  • Limited team size for massive accounts
  • Not ideal for high-volume corporate work

Abby (Bone & Bloom) has been amazing. From the beginning of our relationship, she has been there to help guide me in ensuring I post the right content for my business and the clientele I’m trying to attract. She has been pivotal in sending me great content concepts week to week. I was referred to her by a colleague of mine, Matt Meyers, in Indiana. While even being in Indiana and I being in California, she is still available to communicate when I have questions.

I’ve used Bone & Bloom for both social media and graphic design work, and would absolutely recommend Abby.  She is incredibly responsive, has a great understanding of the social media and marketing landscape, and makes sure to give you marketing assets and plans that are tailored to your business goals.

2. Boldthink

Address: 8365 Keystone Crossing, Suite 100

Contact: (317) 731-2653

Hours: Monday – Friday: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM; Saturday & Sunday: Closed

Boldthink is the agency you call when your business is growing faster than your brand can keep up with. They use a specific framework to make sure your marketing actually drives growth, which is exactly what a marketing manager needs to see.

We’ve spoken with people who moved through a merger and used Boldthink to unify their company culture and external messaging. The results were seamless.

Boldthink’s designers are masters at creating a narrative that works across every single consumer touchpoint.

The downside is that their deep-dive strategic packages are a significant investment. If you’re a brand-new micro-business with a very tight budget, their enterprise-level pricing might be a bit out of reach for your initial launch phase.

Pros

  • Excellent for mid-market scaling
  • Unifies post-acquisition messaging
  • Comprehensive narrative architecture
  • Focuses on measurable business growth

Cons

  • High entry price for micro-businesses
  • Strategic packages are very intensive

We had an amazing experience with Boldthink Creative!  Boldthink was extremely organized and designed a new website for our growing organization. Theresa and her team were extremely organized and creative. They quickly learned our business and helped to create a strategy around how to present ourselves to our external clients and prospects. They also created a platform that highlights our staff, our focus on sustainability, and the unique culture that makes our company a special place to work. They exceeded expectations at all levels!

The Boldthink team were amazing to work with and really helped bring our projects to life. They have a very customer-centric design approach; they work diligently to learn about your needs and how you envision the end product, and bring a wealth of experience to bring it all to fruition. Please know your brand or project is in the best of hands with Boldthink!

3. Blue Group Solutions

Address: 120 E Market St #1256

Contact: (317) 728-9159

Hours: Monday – Friday: 8:00 AM – 9:00 PM; Saturday & Sunday: Closed

Blue Group Solutions takes a very smart, technical approach to design by using neuromarketing to boost conversions. For those unfamiliar, neuromarketing is the study of how the brain responds to marketing.

Aside from that, we were also impressed by how the team builds robust software and back-end systems that make businesses run better.

During our review of their work in the healthcare and logistics sectors, we noticed how their projects are built for the long haul. They also have a very disciplined project management style that keeps things on track.

My only gripe is that their creative process feels very structured and rigid. If you want a “wildcard” or avant-garde artistic style, their focus on technical data and conversion science might feel a little too clinical for your personal taste.

Pros

  • Neuromarketing-driven digital strategy
  • Strong back-end software development
  • Disciplined project management
  • Success in technical industries

Cons

  • Rigid creative process
  • Less focus on avant-garde art

We worked with Blue Group Solutions throughout this year to create a website for our company. Polina was extremely helpful, knowledgeable and quick to respond during the entire process. She took the time to listen to all of our ideas and implemented them into the design and layout of the website. Blue Group designed a clean, professional website that is exactly what we had envisioned. We are very pleased with our overall experience with Blue Group Solutions.

We are very pleased with the work that Blue Group did for us.  They listened to us and created a website for our business that was everything we asked for and more.  The focus and collaboration involved in producing the site was as professional as anyone could expect.  I highly recommend the Blue Group for your internet development and marketing.  Great team to work with!

4. Market-TING LLC.

Website: https://market-ting.com/

Address: 333 Alabama St #350

Contact: (317) 847-3904

Hours: Monday – Friday: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM; Saturday & Sunday: Closed

Market-TING LLC. is a powerhouse for community-focused organizations and not-for-profits. They specialize in identity development that empowers local groups, and they really understand the civic landscape in Indianapolis.

We found their market research to be incredibly localized, which is a huge plus if you’re trying to reach a specific neighborhood or demographic.

Former clients also shared that the team makes the branding process feel very accessible, even if you aren’t a marketing expert yourself.

However, their heavy focus on the public and non-profit sectors means they might not be the first choice for an aggressive e-commerce brand looking to dominate a national retail market.

They excel at community engagement, but high-intensity retail campaigns aren’t necessarily their primary playground.

Pros

  • Deep local community knowledge
  • Accessible branding for beginners
  • Specialized regional market research
  • Collaborative and supportive process

Cons

  • Less focus on retail e-commerce
  • Primarily targets non-profit sectors

Market-TING LLC did a great job for me. They met with me and we’re detailed in understanding my business in order to provide a tailored plan, which was provided promptly. In addition they reviewed my website, redesigned my logo.

Ryan also spoke to a group of kids I was mentoring and gave them insights to his business and some things they can do to succeed. He continues to provide advice, support, and an open door.

We worked with Ryan with my small non-profit.  I found his team to be creative, fun to work with and good listeners.  That means a lot because you always want to combine staying cost conscientious with getting the best quality product.  We were very happy with the services provided and would recommend and use them again.

5. Pivot Brands

Website: http://pivot-brands.com/

Address: 646 Virginia Avenue

Contact: (317) 536-0047

Hours: Monday – Friday: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM; Saturday & Sunday: Closed

Pivot Brands is where you go for a sophisticated, top-to-bottom rebrand. We’ve seen their work with local breweries and major civic projects around the city, and they have a gift for simplifying complex systems into a clean brand identity.

They’re perfect for a mature company entering a new chapter and seeking a fresh look that still honors its history.

Their team is deeply integrated into the Indy metro area, so they know exactly what resonates here.

That said, this isn’t the team for those looking for a quick fix. Their rebranding initiatives are comprehensive and require a serious commitment of time and resources.

If you just need a logo overnight, this thorough, strategic approach might feel like overkill for your timeline.

Pros

  • Expert at strategic rebranding
  • Simplifies complex brand systems
  • Strong local civic partnerships
  • Great for mature companies

Cons

  • Long project timelines
  • Requires high resource commitment

We loved working with Pivot on the branding of our co-working studio, Nomad! They made our vision come to life with timeless branding. They gave us a personality and helped add that extra whimsy that makes the space so different. In a space like this, you can’t have good interior design without a voice. Thank you to the whole Pivot team for giving us that voice and for being great partners! If you’re looking for authenticity in story telling and branding, I wholeheartedly recommend the team at Pivot.

Visit Bloomington hired Pivot for a rebrand a few years back and that decision is still paying off. We love our branding and hired them for more jobs after that because they were so effective and easy to work with. I would recommend Pivot any time.
