No More Generic Gifts: The Best Gift Delivery Services in Indianapolis for Every Occasion

best-gift-delivery-indianapolis
We extensively test and research all services we review. Here's why you can trust us.
  • Product Uniqueness and Quality: We checked if the items felt special or just like mass-produced filler. A great gift should feel like it was chosen with real intention.

  • Delivery Reliability and Speed: Timeliness is everything when it comes to birthdays or anniversaries. We looked for companies that consistently meet their promised windows without excuses.

  • Customer Communication: It is stressful when a gift disappears into a void after you hit order. We prioritized shops that keep the sender updated throughout the process.

Customization Options: The best services allow you to add a personal touch. We looked for businesses that let you swap items or add custom notes easily.

Finding a gift that feels personal and arrives on time can be a real headache, especially when distance and busy schedules get in the way. The key is choosing a service that makes thoughtful touches and reliable delivery a priority.

Indianapolis has some fantastic local gems that go way beyond the generic boxes you find on big national sites. To find the best ones, we have spent time looking into the local scene to find the best gift delivery services for every occasion.

You might choose artisanal snacks for a casual treat or high-end crystal for a lasting impression. Here is our guide to the top gift delivery options in the Circle City.

How much does gift delivery cost in Indianapolis?

In Indianapolis, you can expect to pay a wide range depending on what you are sending.

Most delivered gifts like simple floral arrangements or snack boxes typically fall in the $20 to $150+ range, depending on size and how premium the items are.

Many local florists charge a flat fee for the metro area, while specialty boutiques might have higher rates for same-day service.

Generally, the more customized or fragile the gift, the more you should budget for specialized handling and speed.

1. A Taste of Indiana

Address: 5016 E 62nd St
Contact: +13172525850
Hours:

  • Mon-Fri 9 AM–5 PM
  • Sat 9 AM–2 PM

A Taste of Indiana offers 100% Hoosier-sourced curation. Every single item in their massive inventory comes from a family-owned Indiana company.

Their “Welcome to Indy” baskets are a thoughtful way to greet new residents with Indiana-made treats and local touches.

Businesses also use them as polished welcome gifts for new hires, clients, or visitors, and you can request free Indy maps and brochures in the order notes.

I once needed a basket for a cousin who moved away, and the staff was so helpful. They actually let me add a custom handwritten letter and a specific local souvenir I had bought elsewhere.

The staff here handles inquiries personally, managing everything from single birthday boxes to large corporate orders with equal attention.

One downside is that their niche aesthetic might not suit everyone. If your recipient prefers minimalist modern brands over local popcorn and state-themed memorabilia, this might feel a bit too rustic.

Pros

  • 100% Indiana-made products
  • High level of personalization
  • Scalable for large corporate orders
  • Excellent staff guidance

Cons

  • Niche Hoosier-themed aesthetic
  • Premium pricing for small items
  • Perishables are heat-sensitive
  • Limited to Indiana-centric brands

Absolutely loved visiting A Taste of Indiana!
Absolutely loved visiting A Taste of Indiana! The staff were super sweet and helpful. The shop is full of fun little things, local jams, snacks, and cute snow globes. I grabbed a magnet as a souvenir because I collect one from every state I visit. Highly recommend stopping by!

Mark was so sweet & very helpful with everything!
I recently made an order over the phone to be delivered to St Joesph. Not only was it delivered in a VERY timely manner, & reasonably put… but Mark was so sweet & very helpful with everything! NOT TO MENTION, the basket was gorgeous! 10/10 recommend & will be ordering again.

2. Steve’s Flowers & Gifts

Hours:

  • Mon-Fri 8 AM-6 PM
  • Sat 8 AM-5 PM
  • Sun 11 AM- 3 PM

Steve’s Flowers & Gifts relies on its massive local delivery infrastructure to get things done right. This is because they use their own fleet and staff instead of third-party drivers, helping keep direct-from-florist quality consistent across Central Indiana.

On top of that, their specialized remembrance design expertise also makes them the trusted choice for sensitive moments like funerals or hospital stays.

Another standout feature is their BloomSnap service. With this, they send you a photo of the actual arrangement before it leaves the shop. It builds a lot of trust because you can see exactly what was created.

One small gripe is that they use a lot of filler greens in their more affordable bouquets. If you want something ultra-modern or avant-garde, their style might feel a bit too traditional for your taste.

Just keep in mind that during peak holidays like Mother’s Day, the shop gets incredibly busy. You might find it harder to get someone on the phone during those high-pressure windows.

Pros

  • BloomSnap photo verification
  • Huge local delivery fleet
  • 50+ years of reliability
  • Rapid emergency turnaround

Cons

  • Traditional design style
  • Can use a lot of filler greens
  • High holiday wait times
  • In-store service can be slow

The price was very reasonable
Absolutely wonderful. I called to customize an already beautiful arrangement for a classmate of mine who passed so that it would be our high school colors. They executed it beautifully and other classmates mentioned such. The price was very reasonable for the size of the arrangement as well.

The flowers were delivered on time
My sister had just had bilateral knee replacement and the flowers were a wonderful surprise for her. when she got home. they were delivered on time and customer service couldn’t have been nicer when we ordered them. highly recommend!

3. George Thomas Florist

Address: 5609 E Washington St
Contact: +1 317-353-9161
Hours:

  • Mon-Fri 8:30 AM–5:30 PM
  • Sat 8:30 AM–4 PM

George Thomas Florist’s historic community anchor status in Irvington gives them a layer of generational trust that is hard to beat.

But what makes their services more remarkable is how they pair reliable delivery with global direct sourcing, bringing in blooms from European auctions and South American farms to help keep arrangements exceptionally fresh.

They also offer non-floral gifts like plants and add-ons such as chocolates, candles, and balloons for everything from celebrations to get-well deliveries.

When it comes to deliveries, they stand out by offering specialized express delivery tiers with GPS tracking. This is a lifesaver for high-priority events where timing is everything.

I spoke with several people who used them for weddings, and they consistently praised the design team for bringing big visions to life.

They’re known for handling complex setups like ceremony arches and reception installations with calm coordination and strong attention to detail.

The only downside is the premium price, which reflects direct-import quality and a no-box guarantee. Since they rely on international flights, a delay at customs can sometimes mean your specific flower choice gets substituted.

Pros

  • Direct imports from Europe
  • Express delivery with GPS tracking
  • Flowers are never shipped in boxes
  • Deeply experienced design staf

Cons

  • Higher premium price point
  • Potential for stock substitutions
  • Style is very traditional and full
  • Store is closed on Sundays

Local Human Independent Florist! This is my go-to florist
Local Human Independent Florist! This is my go-to florist. George Thomas Florist is
responsive, and as far as I know, is locally owned and operated. I sure do appreciate communicating with an actual human. I had to switch the date of the delivery since the funeral was rescheduled, and George Thomas Florist was on top of it, very attentive and followed up with emails to document the change.  Highly recommend George Thomas Florist.

Using George Thomas Florist was the best decision I could’ve made
Using George Thomas Florist was the best decision I could’ve made for my wedding day! Malissa did an amazing job helping me during my meeting. I wasn’t the most prepared but it didn’t matter because she took care of everything. The florals they did were breathtaking and all of my guests commented on how beautiful the flowers were! I can’t say thank you enough for everything your team did for my special day.

4. All Occasions Gifts & Flowers

Website: https://www.aogf.net/
Address: 3837 E 10th St
Contact: +1 317-359-5525
Hours:

  • Mon-Fri 9 AM–5 PM
  • Sat 9 AM–12 PM

All Occasions Gifts & Flowers focuses on thoughtful expression through deep customization. They aren’t an order-by-number shop. Instead, they act as a hybrid gift boutique that integrates keepsakes into floral designs.

Their drivers often complete deliveries in under three hours, which is impressively fast for most orders. If you suddenly realize at 10 AM that you forgot a birthday, they can frequently get the gift to your recipient before lunch, sometimes even with time to spare.

Plus, the staff is incredibly proactive about calling you if a bloom doesn’t look perfect. They would rather discuss an alternative than send out a subpar gift.

However, their primary focus is the East Side of Indy. While they do deliver further out, the logistics for northern suburbs like Carmel might not be as seamless as a local shop there.

Pros

  • Sub-3-hour delivery speeds
  • Hybrid gift and floral boutique
  • Proactive customer communication
  • Great for out-of-state buyers

Cons

  • Focus is mainly on the East Side
  • Limited Saturday hours
  • Close on Sundays

5. Charles Mayer & Co.

charles-mayer-co

Website: https://www.charlesmayer.com/
Address: 5629 N Illinois St
Contact: +13172572900
Hours: Mon-Sat 10 AM–5 PM

Charles Mayer & Co. offers a carefully curated selection of global luxury items, including heritage brands like Hermès and Baccarat that are often associated with major style capitals.

With roots dating back to 1840, their multigenerational legacy brings a level of prestige that’s hard to replicate in a big-box setting.

On top of that, their staff is known for giving shoppers thoughtful, detail-oriented guidance rather than rushing the process. They can help with everything from building a wedding registry to selecting polished corporate gifts that feel appropriately elevated.

The shop also offers in-house monogramming and engraving, so you can personalize a luxury item and make it feel like a keepsake. With so many unique pieces in their catalogue, browsing the store often feels like a small treasure hunt.

The biggest hurdle is the high entry price point. This is not a shop for a casual “just because” gift unless you have a significant budget. Because many items are imported or custom-made, lead times can be quite long.

Pros

  • Exclusive European luxury brands
  • In-house engraving and monogramming
  • Expert wedding registry service
  • Knowledgeable concierge staff

Cons

  • Very high entry price point
  • Long lead times for special orders
  • Formal aesthetic isn’t for everyone
  • Physical store has limited hours

So many beautiful and exquisite pieces of jewelry
We don’t have a store quite like this in Indianapolis that has been in business this long. So many beautiful and exquisite pieces of jewelry, elegant dining, glassware. Claudia Ryan and her staff are fabulous! * if you are a bride to be, this would be the place to register.

I expect so much, but I’m never disappointed
I always love going to the store and seeing what beautiful new things they have found for us. I’m related to the owner which tends me make me her harshest critic. I expect so much, but I’m never disappointed.
