I admit, I was one of those people who didn’t really care for yoga, let alone hot yoga. But after a couple of sessions with my wife—who I didn’t know was so strong, she managed to drag me to the studio—I finally saw the appeal.
It made me more flexible! Gone are the days when I scream in pain after squatting a little too low or when I try to reach something my height can’t quite manage. Also, it’s relaxing, like being in a sauna, except you’re moving your body instead of sitting down.
So if you’re looking for an exercise that will burn calories and increase your flexibility, my team, my wife, and I are sharing our go-to hot yoga spots in Indianapolis that will transform your body and mind. Read on!

If you’ve been practicing yoga for a while, The Hot Room is a place you’ve probably heard of—or you’re most likely a member already. It’s one of the most accessible hot yoga studios in Indianapolis, with locations in uptown, downtown, and Fishers.
It’s THE ultimate spot for stretching and meditation. Yoga is one of its most popular classes, if not the most popular. You’ll achieve deep sweating in a 105°F room with 40% humidity.
Aside from hot yoga, there’s a variety of classes for different preferences, such as Hot Power Vinyasa, Hot Power Sculpt, and Inferno Hot Pilates. There’s a class for slower flow or for those who want to combine hot yoga with intense core training.
Recovery is also at the forefront here. After a class, take a quick plunge into cold therapy, then head off to the infrared sauna. Things come full circle, as the meditation you’ve learned in yoga will help you breathe and relax during the cold therapy.

Beginners are welcome here, and it’s not intimidating at all, because there are classes for something slow and steady. But if you want to elevate your experience, the teacher training program is your next step to becoming a certified yoga instructor.

Fire & Flow Yoga is all about sweat-inducing exercises. Seriously, there are a lot of heated classes, from gentle to intense levels, including pilates!
The hottest is at 96°F for Power Vinyasa, which focuses on flexibility and strength. For a gentler approach, the Every Body Yoga at a warm 85°F is what we recommend, which has a slower pace that’ll help you better familiarize yourself with the poses.
If you’re ready for a bit of a challenge, try Yoga Fit, which combines hot yoga and high-intensity training. It’s a little less sore on the muscles because it ends with yoga exercises.
