The Best Kids’ Dentists in Indianapolis for Stress-Free Smiles

We extensively test and research all services we review. Here's why you can trust us.

Specialist Approach: We prioritized clinics that emphasize pediatric-specific training and specialized child behavior management techniques. This ensures the staff know how to soothe a nervous toddler or handle an energetic preschooler with patience.

Service Range: A comprehensive offering of pediatric dental services, from basic cleanings to advanced preventive care, was a key factor in our rankings. We looked for offices that provide a wide spectrum of treatments so your child can stay with one provider longer.

Pricing & Accessibility: We evaluated each business based on their insurance acceptance and the availability of in-house payment options or discount programs. Ease of scheduling and a convenient Indianapolis location were also heavily weighted.

Staff Credentials: We verified that the practitioners are board-certified pediatric dentists with significant experience in the field. This level of expertise guarantees that your child is receiving care tailored specifically to their developing mouths.

Office Atmosphere: The physical environment plays a massive role in reducing dental anxiety for young patients. We favored practices that offer kid-centric amenities like play areas, entertainment, and calming exam room designs.

Parenting often feels like a series of high-stakes negotiations, but convincing a stubborn toddler to sit still in a dental chair shouldn’t be one of them.

Finding a caring kids’ dentist can completely change the way your family views oral health, turning a potential meltdown into a positive, pride-filled milestone.

Whether you’re navigating your infant’s first tooth or helping your teenager explore top local options for Invisalign, the right environment is everything.

I’ve looked into parent-approved kids’ dentists in Indianapolis, highlighting those that prioritize comfort, use child-friendly language, and understand the unique chaos of raising little humans in the Hoosier state.

How much does a kids’ dentist cost in Indianapolis?

Budgeting for your child’s dental care in Indianapolis typically involves a baseline of $75 to $200 for a standard cleaning and exam if you aren’t using insurance.

Smiling Kids Pediatric Dentistry encourages early visits to help children build healthy habits and prevent dental problems from the start.

Their doctors complete two additional years of specialized training to better support the emotional and developmental needs of children, and it shows in the welcoming environment they provide.

I once spoke with a local mom whose child uses American Sign Language, and she shared how patient and accommodating the staff was throughout the visit.

On top of that, they use a hands-on, exploratory approach that helps children feel comfortable by letting them get familiar with the tools and surroundings at their own pace.

Safety is also a top priority, with advanced sterilization systems that go beyond standard requirements.

One drawback to keep in mind, however, is their limited schedule, as they’re only open four days a week and closed on Fridays and weekends, which can make booking a bit more challenging.

Pros

  • Doctors with extra pediatric psychology training
  • ASL-accommodating staff members
  • Modern sterilization system surpassing standards
  • Curiosity-driven, exploration-based dental exams

Cons

  • Only open four days per week
  • Tricky scheduling for full-time workers
  • Closed on Fridays and weekends

I can’t speak highly enough of this office!
I can’t speak highly enough of this office! The staff shows kindness and patience to every person that comes through their doors. My son (8) has autism and is nonverbal – I absolutely trust this office to give him the best dental care. Every appointment since we started has proven to be the best fit for my son.

Very sweet and gentle for the kid
Every 6 months I bring the kids, the office is always clean, staff is friendly, informative, and makes the experience very sweet and gentle for the kids. Grateful to have found this place, we’ve been with them for years now! And a plus — the kids get tokens to pick a toy in addition to their bags!

Building trust is a top priority at Indianapolis Pediatric Dentistry, where the team focuses on making sure every child leaves their appointment feeling happy and confident.

Both lead doctors are board-certified and recognized as Diplomates by the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry, which reflects a high level of specialized care.

The office is also designed with inclusivity in mind, offering full wheelchair accessibility along with restrooms tailored for children with special needs.

For unexpected situations, they provide 24-hour emergency call coverage for dental injuries, which can bring peace of mind to parents. Their team is also experienced in conscious sedation for children who feel anxious during procedures.

However, one thing to consider is their schedule. Since they don’t offer weekend hours, families with busy weekday routines may need to plan ahead for appointments.

  • Fully wheelchair-accessible facilities
  • Specialized training in pediatric sedation

Cons

Customer Reviews:

We had a wonderful experience
We had a wonderful experience at this pediatric dental office. My child had an infected tooth removed, and the entire procedure went so smoothly. To our surprise, there was almost no pain afterward. Dr. Kira was incredibly gentle, patient, and caring throughout the visit. We are truly grateful for her attention and professionalism. Highly recommend!

So happy we found this place
Excellent staff, best clinic and amazing Dr. Stockton. We first met Trinity, she was fantastic, made us feel comfortable on our first visit. Dr. Stockton is gentle, kind, very patient with all my questions and made sure we know every little detail to take care of our daughter’s teeth. Both gave us plenty of time. So happy we found this place for my 19m old first dental check up.

Patient and kind with my two year old
Patient and kind with my two year old that struggles with sensory concerns. They just changed ownership And from what I can see it’s only for the better. Because it’s owned by one of the dentists who have been there and she has made it even more kid-friendly. ❤️❤️

Website: https://bozicdds.com/

Address: 8930 West 10th Street

Contact: (317) 271-6060

Hours:

  • Monday, Thursday, Friday: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
  • Tuesday: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Separation anxiety can make dental visits stressful for both children and parents, but Pediatric Dentistry West helps ease that concern with an open office design.

Parents are encouraged to stay with their children throughout the appointment, which creates a more comfortable and familiar experience. They also focus on early preventive care and offer orthodontic evaluations to catch potential issues early on.

Each team member is trained in behavior management, allowing them to work gently with children of all personalities. For more complex cases or severe anxiety, they provide general anesthesia in a controlled operating room setting for added safety.

A drawback, though, is that their Indianapolis office is closed every Wednesday, which can make scheduling a bit more challenging during the week.

Pros

  • Open office allows parents to stay
  • Early orthodontic evaluations included
  • Staff trained in gentle behavior management
  • General anesthesia available for complex cases

Cons

  • Indianapolis location closed on Wednesdays
  • Limited mid-week appointment availability

Super friendly staff!
Went here for my 1.5 y/o child’s first ever dental visit, and I’m very glad I chose this place. Super friendly staff! I love how they worked well with my toddler even though my toddler wasn’t the most cooperative. They didn’t make me feel like a burden or anything. Super quick and easy. Definitely recommend this place for parents! Will definitely be back in 6 months.

This pediatric office is one of the best
I have been going here ever since I was a young kid and now I am almost of age of needing an adult dentist office. This pediatric office is one of the best and welcoming ones around. Great people and they make you feel so comfortable and forget why I am even there. Their respect comes so naturally and caring is on another level. I highly recommend having your family grow in this office and to trust these amazing woman who will take care of you through it all and make your day. 🙂 I appreciate them so much.

Customer Reviews:

Always a great experience with my kids!
Always a great experience with my kids! Luckily we have not required any fillings or dental procedures but the staff do great with my 3 and 5 year for regular cleanings and X-rays even when they are nervous.

The upgrades to the building look great and balance a clean, up to date minimalist feel with a fun and interactive feel for kids.

Staff was amazing
Took my 1.5 year old daughter here for her first cleaning and exam. She was terrified but the staff was amazing. The office is clean and the waiting area is perfect for those with littles. We’ll be back in 6 months!
