Mini golf in Indianapolis sounds simple, but it caught us off guard. What started as a last-minute weekend idea with my nieces and nephews quickly became a family favorite.
Since then, it’s become our go-to activity. We’ve taken the kids to various mini-golf spots around the city. Some were awesome, others… not so much.
So, I put together a list of our favorites—great for birthdays, weekend outings, or just a casual hang with the kids or your friends. And don’t worry; these spots are fun for adults too.
1. Pirate’s Quest Mini Golf (Royal Pin)

Hours: Monday to Sunday: 11:00 AM – 11:00 PM
Pricing: $
Royal Pin’s Pirate’s Quest honestly felt like stepping into a live episode of One Piece. This place nails it if you want that pirate-y vibe, and if that sounds fun to you, then you definitely have to visit.
I like that they have two outdoor mini golf courses, so that’s 36 holes of fun. Then, there are palm trees, water bridges, and hidden tunnels.
I find the price super accessible too. It’s $9 for 18 holes, and if you’re down for both courses, it’s just $5 more. And for how clean and well-kept everything is, that’s already a great deal.
Oh, and you know what’s cool? A lot of mini golf places don’t really do food, but this one does. Royal Pin has its own little spot called the Royal Cafe. I grabbed their cheeseburger and paired it with one of those icy Siberian Chill slushies—so good.
Pro Tip: Make the most of your visit to Royal Pin by checking out all their other fun activities! They have arcades, bowling, and laser tag, with games starting at just $9 each. |
2. Back 9 Golf & Entertainment

Address: 1415 Drover St

Hours: Monday to Thursday: 12:00 PM – 9:00 PM | Friday: 12:00 PM – 11:00 PM | Saturday: 11:00 AM – 11:00 PM | Sunday: 11:00 AM – 9:00 PM
Pricing: $$
I recently had the chance to visit Back 9 Golf & Entertainment, and it was more fun than I expected. They offer two league formats: single-player and team. You can play 18 holes anytime from Sunday to Thursday in the single-player format.
Meanwhile, you get to enjoy a 4-player game that lasts 3 hours every Wednesday for the team format. Just note that the first 30 minutes are highly recommended for warm-up.
But before you hit the course, grab their Inrange App here to track your shots and get in some practice. What’s fantastic is you can compete with your friends (because who doesn’t love a little friendly competition?) and even try out simulated courses.
Pro Tip: Unlock some sweet perks by joining Back 9 Golf & Entertainment! They’ve got membership packages for Single Player, Family, and Multi-Player. The best part? All packages give you 2 hours of free bay time every day. |
3. Rustic Driving Range & Mini Golf

Address: 5955 Terrace Ave, IN 46203
Contact: +1 317 353 6493
Hours: Monday to Thursday: 11:00 AM – 8:00 PM | Friday to Saturday: 10:00 AM – 9:00 PM | Sunday: 10:00 AM – 8:00 PM
Pricing: $
Rustic Driving Range & Mini Golf is only about a 15-20 minute drive from downtown Indy when traffic’s normal, so there’s no more reason for you not to visit this place.
It’s been around since 1932—yep, it’s been a local favorite for that long! And it’s not your typical mini golf spot, either. Instead of bright-colored turf, you’ll actually find real grass, sand traps, and fairways here—it’s kind of like a mini version of a real golf course.
The holes are about 30 feet long, mostly par 3s and par 4s. This keeps a fun and challenging play for both kids and adults.
But I believe the best part is that playing here won’t break the budget. You can play 9 holes for just $7. It’s a win all around—fun and affordable.
Pro Tip: If you’re playing during off hours, I highly suggest you bring cash! Rustic sometimes runs on an honor system when staff isn’t around, so small bills make it easy to pay and play. |
4. Otte Golf & Family Fun Center

Address: 681 Sheek Rd, Greenwood
Contact: +1 317 881 4620
Hours: Monday to Sunday: 9:00 AM – 8:00 PM
Pricing: $
From the outside, Otte Golf & Family Fun Center might not seem like the easiest or most accessible mini-golf spot on this list, but it surprised me the best way.
Their executive course costs $22, and seniors can play for just $16. That is already pretty fair.
And even though it’s a full 18-hour course, it’s super beginner-friendly. You don’t need to be a pro to have a good time here. It’s not about speed either—you’ll probably wrap it up in about 1.5 hours, so there’s no rush.
The fun bonus is they have pickleball courts (yes, three of them). If you’re into that, I’d recommend coming early. It’s $8 per person, per hour. It’s not the cheapest, but it’s one of the nicest spots in the city.
Pro Tip: Try going on a weekday after 4 PM. That’s when their twilight rates kick in, which means cheaper prices and fewer crowds. This is ideal if you’re looking for an unhurried round. |
5. Monster Mini Golf
– Media credit: monsterminigolf
Website: https://monsterminigolf.com/
Address: 3573 Promenade Pkwy #300, Lafayette
Contact: +1 765 471 1300
Hours: Monday to Thursday: 2:00 PM – 9:00 PM | Friday: 2:00 PM – 10:00 PM | Saturday: 12:00 PM – 10:00 PM | Sunday: 12:00 PM – 6:00 PM
Pricing: $$
Right off the bat—if you’ve got kids, take them to Monster Mini Golf. The name alone screams fun (and maybe just a tiny bit of spooky).
This place is a blast for families, with 18 holes of glow-in-the-dark mini golf. I’ll admit it—I’m a grown adult, and I still love it here. It’s open to all ages, after all.
What’s great is that everyone can play, no matter their age. A round usually takes anywhere from 20 minutes to an hour, depending on how much goofing around you do. It’s totally manageable and worth it.
And mini golf is just the beginning. They’ve got a big arcade, laser tag, and bowling. I even tried their virtual reality games, and let me tell you, even the kiddie adventures like Canyon Chaos, Space Skirmish, and Coaster Calamity had me thrown for a loop.
Pro Tip: Make the most of your 90-minute reservation in one of their Private Haunted Mansion rooms! It’s ideal for birthdays or any casual gatherings. This already includes any age-appropriate activities, including the 18 holes of Monster Mini Golf. |
6. Rascal’s Fun Zone
– Media credit: rascalsfunzone
Website: https://rascalsfunzone.com/
Address: 629 N U.S. 31, Whiteland
Contact: +1 317-535-7600
Hours: Monday to Thursday: 3:00 PM – 9:00 PM | Friday: 3:00 PM – 10:00 PM | Saturday: 11:00 AM – 9:00 PM | Sunday: 11:00 AM – 9:00 PM
Pricing: $$
I mean, let’s be real here—this list wouldn’t feel complete without Rascal’s Fun Zone. It’s a must if you’re looking for all-in-one family or friends fun.
They’ve got two separate 18-hole courses: Dino Bay and Animal Kingdom. And I know the names might sound like they’re just for kids, but don’t let that fool you because they’re suitable for all ages.
Dino Bay brings you into a full-on prehistoric world with dinosaurs, cool sculptures, and even waterfalls—talk about the details. Meanwhile, Animal Kingdom’s got that jungle vibe instead, with river rapids and calm lakes.
If your kid’s shorter than 44 inches, they can play for free (as long as you’re paying to play too).
Pro Tip: Who doesn’t want the best deal? Get the 2-hour wristband for $25. You can benefit from plenty of time for mini golf and a few go-kart or bumper car rides. It’s a great way to save too! |
