We extensively test and research all services we review. Here's why you can trust us.

Portfolio Quality: I evaluated the visual storytelling and editing techniques showcased in each professional's past work. Consistent color grading and clear audio capture were primary indicators of high-tier production value.

Package Transparency: It’s vital for couples to know exactly what they are paying for before signing a contract. I prioritized businesses that clearly outline their hours of coverage, deliverables, and any potential hidden fees.

Client Feedback: Reading through previous couples' experiences gave me insight into how these professionals handle the pressure of a live event. I looked for consistent praise regarding their punctuality, communication, and overall presence on the big day.

Service Flexibility: Every event is unique, so we checked if these creators offer customizable options or a la carte additions. Finding a provider who can adapt to specific timeline changes or destination requirements adds massive value to their offerings.

Your wedding day is a whirlwind of emotions, fleeting moments, and unforgettable celebrations you’ll want to remember forever. Choosing the right videographer to capture these memories is one of the most important decisions for any engaged couple.

With so many talented professionals in Indianapolis, finding someone who truly understands your vision can feel overwhelming, whether your goal is a cinematic highlight reel or a classic documentary-style edit.

I’ve explored the local scene to help you navigate these choices, and this guide highlights top-tier creatives who excel at transforming your most beautiful moments into timeless films.

Hours: Monday to Friday 9:00 AM–5:00 PM

Finding the right vendors for a wedding can be stressful, but Complete Weddings + Events makes it easy with an all-in-one approach. They offer videography, photography, and coordination all under one roof.

Having everything bundled together reduces miscommunication and can even save a bit on costs.

You also get flexibility in how your final film looks. You can go cinematic with a highlight reel or more in-depth with a documentary-style edit.

When I was looking for a wedding planner for a friend’s ceremony, I saw firsthand how valuable a unified team is for keeping the timeline intact.

Their local pros know the ins and outs of venues around town, so lighting challenges rarely come as a surprise. If you’re after something extra, high-definition drone footage is available to capture stunning aerial shots.

On the flip side, being part of a larger franchise means you can’t choose a specific solo videographer from the start. Staff also usually only check in about a week before the big day.

Pros

  • Seamless team coordination
  • Transparent overtime rates
  • Full ceremony coverage options
  • Tiered service levels

Cons

  • Franchise team structure
  • Late pre-wedding consultations

We had both the DJ and the videographer services through complete weddings at our wedding and they were both very thorough in preparations and making sure everything went the way we wanted. We ended up having a different DJ due to sickness but he was the most accommodating and flexible person that I didn’t have to worry about a thing. He did amazing! The videographer was moving around the venue the whole time and got some awesome shots. Both were wonderful and would highly recommend!

DJ (Lex) and videographer (William) were professional and experienced. They both helped make the day go smoother. Lex was able to work around some small delays without issue. The playlist she curated for our wedding was perfect and kept the dance floor going until the end. William was fun to work with and made the initial getting ready / family portraits / wedding party portraits portion entertaining as well as relaxed!

2. Capture Hour Productions, LLC

Address: 5401 S. East Street, Suite 206-A

Contact: 317-289-6938 | [email protected]

Hours: Monday to Saturday 8:00 AM–5:00 PM

If you’re trying to stretch your wedding budget, Capture Hour Productions, LLC makes it easier. They offer a $100 discount if you pay the full package upfront.

They’re also thoughtful with discounts: military members get 10 percent off, and there are savings for last-minute bookings.

The quality of the videos is great too. Aaron (their lead videographer) is a certified drone pilot who produces stunning 5K aerial footage with professional color grading, adding a cinematic touch to your day.

Every package also includes four camera angles for the ceremony, so you’re covered from every perspective.

That said, their entry-level package, while delivering crisp 4K footage, doesn’t include a highlight montage. You’ll mostly get raw cuts, and reception coverage is limited to formal moments. The late-night dance floor fun won’t be captured.

Pros

  • Base 4K resolution guaranteed
  • Flexible payment plans available
  • Dual digital and physical delivery
  • Massive destination wedding discount

Cons

  • No highlight montage in base package
  • Limited base reception coverage

I have worked with Aaron on many occasions. He is professional, very friendly and courteous with his clients as well as other vendors. He is always striving for perfection. He is always in communication with the bride and groom and even goes the extra mile for them. When I see that the videographer for a wedding is Aaron Mitchell from Capture Hour Productions, I know that it will be a fantastic wedding!!

We loved our wedding video that we received from Capture Hour Productions. The great part about this videography duo is that they provide you TONS of film from your big day while other groups only provide a 5-7 min clip. John Wakim was our videographer for our wedding and he was great! We received lots of compliments about how kind he was to our guests and he captured some really sweet and hilarious moments that we can treasure forever. Thank you John and Aaron!

Hours: Available 24/7

This studio really leans into the emotional side of wedding filmmaking. Instead of just stringing together a chronological sequence of events, their cinematic approach focuses on how the day felt and captures the moments that make the day memorable.

They operate as a full in-house team, with producers, editors, and client success managers handling your project from start to finish.

What I also love about them is that they offer an option to film mini interviews with the couple on the day. This gives the final video a personalized, documentary-style feel.

Couples also receive a beautifully designed physical USB keepsake box, adding a tangible element to their digital files. They even use multi-camera setups to ensure no angle is missed.

That said, they intentionally restrict the number of weddings they shoot per year. This means their availability fills up incredibly fast. I recommend reaching out early if you already have the date!

Pros

  • Documentary-style audio integration
  • Comfort-first filming style
  • Unobtrusive behind-the-scenes presence
  • Prompt final video turnaround

Cons

  • Strictly limited yearly availability

I highly recommend Luke and More Than Media for wedding videography. The video quality was amazing, and we were able to get raw footage of the ceremony, reception, plus guest messages that we will always cherish! (Highly recommend these). The highlights video was also great to share with friends and family. Luke was very easy to work with and was very amenable to any requests we had. We received a lot of compliments from our wedding guests as well. A wedding videographer was one of the things we were most nervous about, but we’re so happy we went with Luke!

Luke and the More Than Media team did such a fantastic job on our wedding videos! They were so professional and organized the entire day! They worked so well with our other vendors and helped with the organization of the day and to keep things flowing well. We absolutely love our videos and will cherish them forever! They knew just the way to perfectly capture the perfection of our day. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a wedding videographer! You will not regret it!

Service Area: Indianapolis, IN

Contact: 513-568-3717

Hours: Sunday to Friday 8:00 AM–9:00 PM | Saturday 9:00 AM–8:00 PM

ndyVids brings serious broadcast-level expertise to your wedding day, led by the owner and lead videographer, a two-time Emmy-winning producer.

This high-caliber background translates into a professional, TV-quality approach and a flawless customer satisfaction record.

I recently attended a reception with their photo booth setup and watched the videographer effortlessly move through a crowded room. Seeing them work really highlighted the value of hiring someone with that kind of experience.

Another standout perk is that aerial drone footage comes included in all standard packages, so sweeping shots of your venue won’t cost extra.

Booking is straightforward too. You can lock in your date with a flat 20 percent or $500 save-the-date deposit.

On the downside, they enforce a strict consecutive-hour policy, so you can’t split your time without paying for additional hours.

Pros

  • Transparent a la carte add-ons
  • Expedited editing option
  • Dual digital delivery methods
  • Generous eight hours base coverage

Cons

  • Strict consecutive hour policy
  • RAW footage editing restriction

I hired Robbie to be my wedding videographer after I did some goggle reviews and based off  of a recommendation from my wedding photographer. He did a fantastic job capturing our special day and I loved the short video clip that summarized our wedding! He was easy to communicate with and even went above and beyond! Thanks Robbie!

Robbie was a true professional from start to finish. Really creative shots and the drone shots he includes are really cool. He worked well with our wedding photographer. We are extremely happy that we decided to hire a wedding videographer, and IndyVids was an excellent choice. We loved our wedding video.

5. Ralph Vandale Photography & Videography LLC

Website: https://ralphvandale.com/

Address: 4175 Millersville Rd

Contact: +1(317) 680-7311

Hours: Monday to Saturday 9:00 AM–5:00 PM

If you’re looking for a truly luxurious, magazine-ready wedding aesthetic, Ralph Vandale delivers. The studio blends fine art with high fashion, making couples feel like iconic celebrities on their big day.

The lead photographer and videographer brings over seven years of experience (including high-profile celebrity work) to craft bold, elegant visual stories

A major advantage is their unified photo and video team, which ensures everything flows seamlessly with a consistent artistic style.

Couples also get luxury retouching and creative edits that turn standard footage into cinematic masterpieces, plus a curated sneak peek within just one week of the wedding.

That level of service comes at a premium, though. Collections start at nearly $7,000, so it’s not for those on a tight budget.

The studio also keeps its editorial focus sharp by only accepting a limited number of couples each year, meaning you’ll need to book well in advance. For those who can swing it, though, the results are stunning and unforgettable.

Pros

  • Calming and empathetic direction
  • Comprehensive base packages
  • Adaptability to bad weather
  • Custom add-on flexibility

Cons

  • High starting investment
  • Strictly limited yearly availability

First let me say I’m so happy we booked with Ralph. From the first zoom meeting to the day of my wedding Ralph was very professional. He gave us everything we were looking for and more! He created a unique experience that I will forever remember. Our photos amazing! Our engagement photos amazing! Our videographer amazing! Ralph gave us a lifetime memory that we will never forget and memories to watch with our children 20yrs from now! I would highly recommend Ralph! We Looooove our experience. If I could rate him I would give him a 100! Thank you Ralph

I am an event designer and planner, and had the pleasure of collaborating with Ralph in June 2024 for a couple’s wedding. He and his team exceeded my expectations in terms of professionalism and the way they treated my clients. The photos turned out stunning, and working with him was a fantastic experience. This year, I invited him to join me for a branding session to enhance my catalog. We worked with a large production team to meet the demands of the project, and he did not disappoint!
