I’ve encountered not-so-good companies in my life, and let me tell you that it wasn’t pretty *insert crying face emoji*. Let’s not go through that anymore, so here are construction companies in Indianapolis you can trust, for building from the ground up!

Construction companies in Indianapolis usually charge about 10% to 20% of the total construction cost. However, it will greatly vary, depending on the size and type of the project and the fee structure of the company.

They accept small and large jobs, which makes them accessible to residential and commercial clients. They focus on home improvement, though, like exterior work and interior remodeling, so new home builds aren’t ideal.
But if you’re looking to build a property for a business, they’ve got it all sorted. As a full-service commercial contractor, they will handle the ins and outs, from start to finish.
That means designing the project, budget planning, logistics, quality control, and all the way to procurement. It’s also incredible that they can build large buildings for all sectors, including healthcare, retail, and food.
A unique offering, since they specialise in home improvements, is that they’re also available for small tasks, like modifications for rental properties.
How’s the work? Exceptional. Their workmanship and attention to detail are incredible, which is exactly what you want for a build that will last a long time.

One of the reasons my team and I chose Emergent Construction is because of their well-designed builds. It was impressive to see, because you can tell how every project was made with intention.
For example, their design team knows how to bring the client’s vision to reality. They deserve applause for their eye for detail, intentional approach, and focus on aesthetics and functionality.
Of course, the construction process also impressed us. Everything was smooth sailing since the contractors were easy to communicate with, listened to the clients, gave advice, worked within the budget, and delivered right on schedule.
They mostly work on residential projects, however. From time to time, they build business spaces, but it’s not their main focus, especially for top-to-bottom commercial buildings.
It’s all good. The work they’ve done has been brilliant. Most clients noted that this is a construction company that gets the job done, as every aspect of the build has excellent workmanship.

When it comes to residential projects in Indianapolis, Compendium Group is a top contender. They specialise in building single-family homes from the ground up, but also work on commercial projects.
We want to note that their expertise includes handling historic renovations, which is impressive because these have strict guidelines and some may require the use of traditional methods, instead of modern ones.
Their design process is super thorough, as they listen to exactly what the client wants in functionality and aesthetics. During our surveys, they even received a lot of praise for their collaborative approach.
And when you check their portfolio, you’ll be pleased, just like us. The builds we saw looked incredible with a ton of personality—you can tell they made the visions tangible.
But they’re not the most accessible since they focus on jobs in downtown Indianapolis. It’s a shame, really, because the solid work ethic—on time, accurate estimations, and professional approach—deserves a place outside of Indy.

They’re a commercial construction company in Indianapolis that caters to all sectors, such as healthcare, retail, hospitality, and industrial. It’s just a bummer that they don’t do residential projects.
But we love their work process because they’re very thorough. Their design team specialises in timeless concepts without compromising functionality, which many clients have praised.
They’re very professional, as they answered every call and every question, consistently updated their clients, finished the job on time, and cleaned up afterwards. They elevate the job by offering quality custom cabinetry and finishes.

An impressive thing about Shamrock Builders is that they’ve got every construction project covered. These folks work on residential and commercial projects and have experience that dates to 1967.
They work in Central Indiana, which is impressive coverage. Just don’t be shocked if it takes a while for them to start on your project, considering they’re a busy bunch—that’s a good thing in the construction world, though.
Part of their work means they work on various buildings, offices, and homes. It’s awesome that they can build for all sectors, such as healthcare, retail, and self-storage facilities.
We love that they’re open to small and large-scale projects, whether they’re building from scratch or doing a quick remodeling job. The workmanship is impressive as well, because the quality we’ve seen has been exceptional, even in the nooks and crannies.
As a full-service construction company, everything’s taken care of. It’s because of their complete team, composed of designers, engineers, and architects—there’s pretty much no need for subcontractors, unless absolutely needed.
