The 5 Best Septic Tank Providers in Indianapolis You Can Count On

We extensively test and research all services we review. Here's why you can trust us.

Local Longevity: I prioritized companies with decades of experience operating specifically within Central Indiana. This ensures they possess a deep understanding of our regional soil compositions and health department regulations.

Service Comprehensiveness: A great contractor needs to handle everything from emergency pumping to complex system restorations. I looked for businesses that offer a full cycle of waste management solutions rather than just basic maintenance.

Emergency Availability: Plumbing disasters rarely happen during convenient weekday hours. I heavily weighed the availability of round-the-clock support to protect properties from severe water damage.

Technological Innovation: Traditional excavation can severely damage a meticulously maintained landscape. I favored providers offering advanced and less invasive techniques like pneumatic soil rejuvenation.

Finding the best septic tank providers in Indianapolis can feel overwhelming. This is especially true when you’re in the midst of dealing with an unexpected plumbing emergency or planning a major property upgrade.

For a reliable setup, you’ll need a waste management system that handles local soil conditions without constantly demanding expensive fixes.

Lucky for you, I’ve spent years navigating home maintenance projects across Central Indiana, learning exactly what separates a dependable contractor from a frustrating one.

Read on for my top recommendations to help you secure a durable setup that protects your property and your wallet!

How much do septic tanks cost in Indianapolis?

In Indianapolis, a complete septic tank system replacement for an average three-bedroom home typically runs about $7,900. However, the exact price depends heavily on the materials chosen and the complexity of the excavation.

1. ACME Plumbing, Drain & Septic Service

Website: http://www.acmeplumbingservice.com/

Address: 3702 N. Shadeland Ave

Contact: 317-423-7289 / [email protected]

Hours: Available 24/7

Dealing with a sudden plumbing backup is incredibly stressful, so I appreciate ACME Plumbing Service. They provide true round-the-clock emergency support alongside their eighty-five years of local expertise.

When water is rising in your yard at midnight, knowing that their dedicated team is ready is invaluable!

I also like how they eliminate financial anxiety through a strict policy of quote integrity. With them, the price you agree upon stays locked regardless of how complicated the repair job becomes.

Beyond emergency fixes, I value their use of the patented Terralift soil-health technique. This specialized method forces air directly into the ground to clear clogs, allowing you to rejuvenate a failing drain field without enduring an invasive yard excavation.

The main drawback is that their complimentary remote camera inspections require purchasing a separate cleaning service first. Furthermore, they only perform these free evaluations during a very narrow morning window on weekdays.

Pros

  • Round-the-clock emergency support
  • Patented soil rejuvenation technique
  • Strict quote integrity policy
  • Eighty-five years of local experience

Cons

  • Free inspections require paid service
  • Short two-year restoration guarantee

2. Max Haas Septic Service

Address: 7514 E 39th St

Contact: 317-671-7680

Hours: Monday to Friday 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Navigating complex waste management installations requires a highly seasoned team. Luckily, Max Haas Septic Service stands out with over a century of continuous operation in Central Indiana.

Their approach is comprehensive. I love how they cover everything from routine residential pumping to massive commercial lift station projects.

They also offer advanced restoration technology to fix failing fields without tearing up the entire lawn, helping you preserve your landscaping.

Another plus is their expansive coverage across nine different counties, which is so convenient for regional property investors managing multiple sites.

I actually used them for a property inspection last year, and their upfront transparency regarding typical price ranges made budgeting for the project remarkably simple.

However, their standard weekday operating hours mean you’re largely on your own if a catastrophic backup occurs on a Sunday night.

Additionally, because much of their work involves heavy digging, their project timelines are highly vulnerable to weather delays during our rainy spring months.

Pros

  • Over a century of operation
  • Advanced drain field restoration
  • Full-cycle commercial support
  • Broad nine-county coverage

Cons

  • Limited standard weekday hours
  • Highly vulnerable to weather delays

Robert the Technician was very polite and very informative. Recommended that we have our septic tank power washed due to sediment in the bottom of tank and told us the toilet paper we are using isn’t breaking down and recommended a different brand. I appreciate him being very informative on our issue.

If you don’t use max haas for your septic systems feel free to keep there number because you will be calling them to fix whatever the other company messes up. My experience with them has been amazing couldn’t ask for any better service and prices. Prices should be raised because of quality of work. Amazing experience USE THEM.

3. Blair & Norris | Well, Pump, Drilling, Septic

Website: https://blairnorris.com/

Address: 7215 East Thompson Road

Contact: 317-245-7262 / [email protected]

Hours: Available 24/7

Finding a contractor capable of managing the entire residential water cycle, from your underground waste tank to your indoor water softener, is quite rare. Thankfully, Blair & Norris consistently delivers comprehensive solutions.

Backed by a seventy-five-year local legacy, they guarantee that a live human will answer your call twenty-four hours a day. This immediate response is absolutely crucial when you’re facing sudden system failures in the middle of the night.

Moreover, with their structured maintenance program, they can catch small drainage issues long before they require massive, expensive overhauls.

I also love that they offer customized payment plans through a third-party financier. With this, unexpected system replacements are much more manageable for everyday homeowners.

A notable limitation to keep in mind is that they exclusively install Flint and Walling brand pumps for their hardware replacements. If you prefer a different major manufacturer for your setup, they’re not the right fit.

Pros

  • Live emergency phone responses
  • Complete water cycle management
  • Available financing options
  • Decades of combined expertise

Cons

  • Restricted central geographic coverage
  • Exclusively uses one hardware brand

Customer Reviews

Very happy with this service. There was a technician already in the area — I had my septic tank pumped within two hours of calling. Casey was professional and efficient, answering any questions I had. Would recommend Norris Septic.

I appreciate the people at Blair Norris. My vintage pressure tank was waterlogged and we needed to clean the well. They guys came out, were professional, efficient, and helped me get my system back up and running. They were able to salvage my old pump which saved us quite a bit of money. I will definitely use them for any future work needed to our well or septic.

4. Fisk Septic Pumping

fisk-septic-pumping

Website: http://www.fiskexcavating.com/

Address: 1990 N Meridian Rd, Greenfield

Contact: 317-498-6448 / [email protected]

Hours: Available 24/7

Fisk Septic Pumping brings over 45 years of specialized industry experience to every single job. They also stand out for their highly certified team, which ensures your waste project meets strict environmental codes.

When I spoke directly to their customer relations director about a dosing pump issue, I was immediately impressed by her deep technical knowledge and willingness to educate me.

It’s also notable that they operate as a complete resource for everything from initial site excavating to total underground system installations.

They’re also the ones to call for massive commercial projects, with their advanced commercial driver credentials and rigorous safety certifications.

Their main office is based in Greenfield, though. Clients living on the far west side of Indianapolis often experience longer lead times for service calls.

However, keep an eye on repair costs. Even if a broken part is covered by a manufacturer’s warranty, Fisk often declines to cover the labor fees for the actual replacement.

Pros

  • Extensive regional industry knowledge
  • Complete site excavation capabilities
  • Advanced commercial safety credentials

Cons

  • Longer lead times for western suburbs
  • Rigid warranty labor policies

Customer Reviews

Our entire system was backed up.  They were busy but made time to come out quickly to pump our septic tank.  The technician went above and beyond as our tank was completely full of heavy solid waste due to never being pumped over 48 YEARS! They could have easily charged extra but didn’t.  I’m having them back to add a riser and cleanout to our system.

Very nice people to work with from start to finish! Michelle was very polite and has very good communication skills. I noticed on a Sunday afternoon that my septic tank was overflowing into my yard, I was able to contact Fisk and they were out here the next morning. The process took all of 20 minutes and their service technician was excellent, professional and had lots of experience. Will absolutely use there services again and recommend to others!

Contact: 317-539-7304

Hours: Monday to Friday 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM; Saturday 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM

Protecting your beautiful landscaping and delicate outdoor structures (like that recently completed deck repair) during heavy property maintenance is a major concern for most homeowners.

AA Septic Service Inc solves this exact problem by utilizing specialized truck fleets equipped with hundreds of feet of hose.

Their smart setup allows them to access hard-to-reach tanks without ever driving destructive heavy vehicles across your fragile lawn!

Also, I love how their deep local roots date back to the 1950s, giving them unmatched historical insight into the specific soil conditions found throughout Marion County.

Beyond their technical work, they offer proactive communications. Past clients I spoke with loved how AA Septic Service even sent arrival alerts and diagnostic reports.

While they provide full system troubleshooting and real estate inspections, their operational hours remain restricted to weekdays and Saturday mornings.

If you encounter an urgent waste issue late on a Saturday night, you must unfortunately wait until Monday morning for any professional assistance.

Pros

  • Extra-long hoses protect landscaping
  • Same-day communication efficiency
  • Decades of Marion County insight
  • Comprehensive troubleshooting skills

Cons

  • Unavailable during late weekend hours
  • Headquarters outside city limits
