Hours: Monday to Saturday 8:00AM–6:00PM
Finding a company that genuinely cares about pollinator conservation can be tricky.
TruNorth Bee Removal, led by Josh and Liz Lachmann, is an experienced team that focuses on extracting entire apiary populations alive and preserving their biological integrity for environmental reintegration.
I recently spoke with a neighbor who used them for a massive hive in their roof, and they were relieved by the thorough physical restoration provided.
For instance, the technicians expertly map out the hidden biological mass before dismantling anything. They even offer secondary installations to permanently secure your home against future infestations.
They even repair any architectural access points breached during the extraction process.
One thing to keep in mind is that they don’t offer complimentary preliminary site visits, so you’ll have to pay for a diagnostic evaluation
Furthermore, their final costs can also be unpredictable due to local variables, but their half-decade guarantee provides significant comfort.

We can’t thank Josh enough for an AMAZING job removing a huge honey bee hive we discovered in our home. We thought the hive was behind our wall, ended up also in between the floors! All of the bees, queen and honey comb was removed and our house put back together, can’t even tell where the bees were removed. We highly recommend Josh! Thank you again!

Josh did a wonderful job in removing the yellow jackets and putting everything back together. Barely noticed that he was there and had to remove some soffit and cut into the drywall installed order to remove the unwanted guess. Thank you, Josh. I would highly recommend Josh and Trunorth Bee Removal

2. Orkin

Website: orkin.com
Address: 8765 Guion Rd E
Contact: +1(317) 942-7387
Hours: Available 24/7
Dealing with bugs in Indy can be a real headache, especially when a few pests turn into a full-on invasion overnight.
Orkin is a solid local go-to because they don’t just spray and pray; they actually use a science-backed approach to build a custom shield around your house.
One of the best things about the Indy team is how much they actually care. Their techs are even known for being super down to earth and willing to answer every single question.
It’s that kind of friendly service that makes having a stranger crawl around your crawlspace much less awkward.
Just a heads-up on the business side: while they’re great at what they do, it’s rarely a “one-and-done” deal. Their standard plans usually run every 60 days to keep the barrier strong, which means you’ll have a recurring bill.
If you’re planning to hire a house cleaning team after a treatment, just remember to factor those ongoing pest fees into your monthly home budget so there are no surprises!

The inspector was very professional, nice and did a great job, his name was Brian. Today, Darrell came out and treated for carpenter bees. He was also prompt at the appointment , pleasant and professional! Both really knew what they were doing!! Fantastic company and worth the money!

I’m impressed. First contact was easy; got estimate within minutes of calling. I was given choice of time and was even given the name of the technician. Harry, the technician was easy to get along with, friendly, answered my questions about carpenter bees, and did what looked like a thorough job. Communication via email and text closely followed the progress of the treatment. They even honored a $50 discount that I found after contracting for the service. They hit every feature that I know of what a professional service should be!

They offer next-day service and 24/7 quote support, so you aren’t stuck waiting around for a callback.
A huge plus for families is their eco-friendly approach. In particular, this team uses botanical-based treatments that are effective on bugs but safe for kids and pets.
As a locally owned business, they really know the Indianapolis landscape. Also, their techs are consistently praised for being thorough and polite, catching small issues across your property before they become big ones.
It’s that extra bit of attention that makes the whole process feel more like a neighbor helping you out rather than a cold transaction.

Justin Sanders was on time and took care of our HUGE bees nest that was up in our tree. It was hard to believe that bees actually built something this big and beautiful without our knowing. Found it after the leaves dropped from the tree. Scary job, but glad someone else does it!

I want to recognize the professional and friendly service i experienced from Richard and Jimmy, today. They arrived quickly to address a yellow jacket ground nest near our deck. They took care of the issue quickly and even made time to share knowledge about what was likely happening with the development of the nest/timing. I learned a few things while they eliminated my bee problem, even finding the queen that was the source of this problem. Also important to note that they were safe about the steps they took.

Trio Pest Control is a great choice if you’re looking for a company with deep roots in the community. As a family-owned business with over 20 years of experience, they offer a personal touch that big national chains sometimes miss.
When I had a wasp issue near my patio, their tech was great at walking me through exactly how the treatment works, which really helped calm my nerves.
The team is also known for personalized attention. They’re also meticulous, often sticking to a precise plan for your specific home rather than just doing a generic spray-down.
They also use some of the most eco-friendly green products on the market, which is a huge relief if you’re worried about your kids or pets.
While their first-time customer discounts are great (sometimes as much as 50% off), they’re usually tied to signing up for a recurring service plan.
Also, they operate on a standard weekday schedule, so they can’t do weekend emergencies.
Customer Reviews
This is the most efficient Company I have had. If I call for extra issue inside or outside before they come back they are here. The service technicians are always friendly and professional and these technicians are very knowledgeable about insects and wild animals. I would never change this service, I am allergic to bees and spiders and they take care of this. I appreciate their company and their staff that are always friendly and there when you need them from the scheduler to the technicians and up.

5. Terminix

Website: http://terminix.com
Address: 5701 Fortune Cir S Suite K
Contact: +13174554018
Hours: Available 24/7
Terminix is a powerhouse in the Indianapolis pest control scene, and for good reason. They’ve been around for nearly a century, and their techs are well-known for being proactive.
They’ll often call a few days before they arrive to check if you’ve seen any new bug activity.
When they get to your house, they aren’t just there to spray; they’ll often move appliances and crawl into tight spots to find the root of the problem, giving you solid advice on how to seal up your home’s weak spots.
While their initial inspections are free, if they find a serious infestation (like a major bed bug or termite colony), the price can jump significantly above their advertised base rates.
Also, their best long-term protection is tied to annual subscriptions. If you opt for a one-time fix, your coverage usually ends after just 30 days.
Customer Reviews
No more bees! We felt like prisoners with a swarm of about 100 bees by our front door. Although we would have loved to have saved the hive it was in a place that would have required us to tear out the home so we opted to call Terminix. They cam and the bees are gone! Thanks so much!
- Shara Bowling | Google Reviews
Got a call wed from terminix, it was Marsean who has been taking care of our house all last year. He came today, called before he came so I could secure my dog inside. We’ve had several insect infestions, and his plan was recheck and check the exterior for other critters. We have yearly stinkbugs parties. He has helped us cut those down with his advise and inspections. We’ve had hornets, mini hornets. Nests of bees in our flower pots on the porch he has goten rid of. He came and kicked them all out.
