5 Best Cat Grooming Salons in Indianapolis That Will Pamper Your Fur Babies

We extensively test and research all services we review. Here's why you can trust us.
  • Stress-Free Environments: We chose salons that offer quiet or cage-free settings. Cats get easily startled by loud dogs and chaotic spaces.

  • Feline Expertise: We looked for groomers with specific training in cat handling. It takes a special touch to safely bathe and trim a nervous kitty.

  • Flexible Convenience: We considered operating hours and mobile availability for busy pet parents. Convenience is a huge factor when scheduling maintenance appointments.

  • Transparent Pricing: We checked if the salons had clear fee structures without hidden surprises. Knowing what you’ll pay upfront is crucial for budgeting.

  • Quality of Products: We paid attention to the types of shampoos and treatments used. Eco-friendly and gentle formulas are much safer for delicate skin.

Finding a groomer for your cat can feel stressful, especially since felines are often sensitive to new people, sounds, and environments. Luckily, the city has great options designed specifically for nervous or high-maintenance kitties.

Whether your cat needs routine grooming or more flexible care, there are solid local choices to fit your needs.

Many pet owners also pair grooming visits with nearby animal hospitals for checkups or stop by a pet shop for supplies, making it easier to keep their cat’s care routine simple and complete.

Here are the best cat grooming spots in Indianapolis to keep your pet clean, comfortable, and looking their best.

Website: www.indypetspaw.com

Address: 907 Pennsylvania St

Contact: 317-970-3666

Hours:

  • Monday – Thursday: 7:30 AM – 5:00 PM
  • Friday & Saturday: By Appointment

The Pet Spaw immediately sets itself apart with a cage-free grooming environment and specially designed rubberized flooring.

This setup helps reduce stress while also protecting your cat’s joints, so pets aren’t confined to kennels during their visit. Instead, they’re given space to move comfortably, which can make a big difference for anxious or easily stressed cats.

The staff takes a calm, patient approach and really seems to understand how to work with sensitive animals. I brought my own nervous tabby here recently, and the change in his behavior was noticeable almost right away.

Meanwhile, they also offer feline-focused services like de-matting packages that are tailored to your cat’s specific coat condition and comfort level.

Just take note that their Friday and Saturday slots need to be booked ahead of time.

Pros

  • Cage-free styling studio with specialized rubberized flooring
  • Heavily reduces feline stress
  • Protects animal knees and ankles
  • Dedicated feline de-matting packages
  • Highly experienced professional staff

Cons

  • Requires advance booking for Friday and Saturday

Address: 11696 Fishers Corner Blvd

Contact: 317-483-7330

Hours:

  • Monday – Saturday: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
  • Sunday: 9:00 AM – 7:00 PM

Pet Palace in Fishers is a high-end pet resort offering grooming, boarding, and 24-hour care in climate-controlled suites.

With a high staff-to-pet ratio, the team ensures your pet receives attentive and personalized care, including support for medication needs. Even better, these guys provide daily updates that help owners feel reassured while they’re away.

They also offer flexible pricing so you only pay for the grooming services your cat actually needs, making it a more tailored experience for pet owners who want specific care options.

But because they operate as a large, active facility with boarding and daycare services, it can get noisy and busy, which may not suit especially sensitive cats.

Pros

  • High-end pet resort with a high staff-to-pet ratio
  • Customized pricing structures for specific grooming services
  • Daily behavior charting and post-visit report cards
  • Spacious climate-controlled environments

Cons

  • Louder atmosphere may overstimulate highly sensitive felines

3. Wildflower Pet Spa

Address: 6150 Hillside Avenue

Contact: 317-946-3469

Hours: Not Available

Wildflower Pet Spa is known for their gentle, compassionate approach to grooming, especially for anxious cats.

What I like most is that the groomers take time to build trust before starting any part of the grooming process, helping pets feel safe and relaxed before clippers or water are ever introduced.

They also minimize kennel time, allowing well-adjusted pets to stay calm in a low-stress, social environment instead of being confined.

Their communication is a strong point. Owners receive regular text updates throughout the appointment, including check-ins and photos, which helps ease any worry while your pet is in their care.

A friend of mine takes her long-haired rescue here and always appreciates the frequent updates and reassurance.

The only catch is that their daily drop-off windows can vary, so scheduling does require a bit of flexibility.

Pros

  • Exceptionally gentle and medication-free approach for anxious pets
  • Dedicated time spent building trust
  • Drastically minimized kennel time
  • Calm social environment for pets
  • Excellent communication with owners

Cons

  • Variable drop-off and pick-up windows

Customer Reviews:

His confidence, care and communication are a fresh new experience

Rory is the pet whisperer! There’s no need to subject your anxious furry friend to meds or stress! Rory did an excellent and quick job of our skittish little guy’s nails. His confidence, care and communication are a fresh new experience for us! Rory is the best!

They are cheerful, friendly, enthusiastic about their work

Wildflower is pretty far out of the way for me, but I go there because I trust the people. I’ve had bad experiences with careless or inattentive groomers, and I don’t have to worry about that at Wildflower. They are cheerful, friendly, enthusiastic about their work, and most importantly, professional. I’m a loyal customer!

4. Bow Wow Meow Boutique

Website: bowwowmeowindy.com

Address: 1315 Shelby Street, Suite 4

Contact: 317-974-9791

Hours: Monday – Sunday: 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM

Bow Wow Meow Boutique is an eco-friendly grooming shop that uses holistic, USA-made bathing products designed to be gentle on sensitive skin and coats.

The cage-free environment helps cats settle in quickly, reducing stress from the moment they arrive and making the experience feel much more natural and calm.

I love that each appointment is tailored to the individual cat, with staff adjusting their approach based on personality and comfort level. This makes it a strong option for anxious pets that don’t do well in traditional grooming settings.

The shop is also open 7 days a week, which adds flexibility for busy pet owners trying to fit grooming into a packed schedule.

The main limitation is their strict appointment-only policy. Walk-ins aren’t accepted, so you’ll need to plan to secure a slot.

Pros

  • Eco-friendly boutique using holistic products made strictly in the USA
  • Entirely cageless grooming environment
  • Gentle on sensitive skin and coats
  • Highly tailored individual attention
  • Open 7 days a week

Cons

  • Doesn’t accommodate walk-ins

Customer Reviews:

Jess is amazing and she really loves cats

While in Indy visiting my daughter, I was looking for a place that would trim her cats nails! Look no further than Bow Wow Meow! Jess is amazing and she really loves cats. I can’t trim Mochi nails but she did it and made it look easy!

She directed us on what to do and helped with a nail issue

Full service do-it-yourself bath. They can also accommodate nail trimming in the same appointment. The tech was amazing. She directed us on what to do and helped with a nail issue as much as she could as well as advised on next steps. This place is great.

5. PurrSnips

purrsnips

Website: www.purrsnips.com

Address: 5335 N Tacoma Ave, Suite 4

Contact: 317-919-1035

Hours: By appointment only

PurrSnips takes a very different approach to cat grooming by building the entire experience around feline comfort from the ground up.

Instead of a typical salon setting, the space is completely dog-free and carefully controlled, with calming pheromones used throughout to help reduce stress and prevent common triggers like loud noises or sudden movements.

The head groomer is also certified in animal first aid and CPR, which adds extra reassurance during your visit.

From the moment you arrive, everything feels intentionally slowed down. Appointments are strictly one-on-one, meaning your cat isn’t shared with other clients and you have the entire space to yourselves.

On the downside, pricing is higher than standard grooming salons due to the specialized care.

Pros

  • Exclusive sedation-free experience designed around feline sensitivities
  • Completely private and dog-free environment
  • Calming pheromones and a home-like atmosphere
  • One-on-one appointments without loud noises
  • Groomer certified in animal first aid and CPR

Cons

  • Premium rates

Customer Reviews:

They took such good care of my girl

I like to get my cat shaved once a year in the summertime. It really cuts down on hairballs and dandruff. The staff at PurrSnips is top notch! They took such good care of my girl, Mia and now she has a wonderful haircut for the hot summer days!

The cut was so good

I couldn’t recommend Purrsnips enough! They did a lion cut on our sweet elderly kitty a few months ago. The cut was so good, our vet and cat sitter both asked where we had it done. Today, they clipped our kitten’s nails after our vet said they weren’t able to do it twice while medicated. Purrsnips had no trouble completely unmedicated and welcomed her back!
