1. Indy Hound

Website: http://www.indyhound.com/
Address: 1025 N New Jersey Street
Contact: (317) 840-8863, [email protected]
Hours: Monday – Friday 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM; Saturday – Sunday 8:00 AM – 10:00 AM & 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM
If you want a dog daycare that’s easy to reach downtown and keeps your pup active, Indy Hound is a great pick.
What stood out to me most was how much they focus on safe, supervised off-leash play. The staff keeps dogs engaged through interactive activities, so they’re not just sitting around waiting to be picked up.
I actually dropped off my energetic lab mix here before a long day of meetings downtown. He came home completely exhausted yet happy, which was a huge relief after worrying he’d be restless all day.
Indy Hound also gets plus points for their daytime care and overnight boarding services. With these, it’s easy to match their services with your schedule.
Just note that dogs must be dropped off before 11:00 AM. Also, weekend daycare access is only available if your dog is staying for boarding.

The people at the front desk are always so nice
The people at the front desk are always so nice. They remember my dog’s name every time he comes in. My dog has a great time there each time. When he comes home, he just naps until dinner. I was scared at first because my dog was attacked at a different doggy daycare, but they reassured me and made me feel comfortable with letting my dog attend daycare there. Now my dog is so excited the minute he sees the building.

Always been accommodating to my older English bulldog
Indy Hound is GREAT! They have always been accommodating to my older english bulldog! The staff is always positive and excited to see Murph. The daycare also does a great job with baths and extras – including having school picture days for the dogs, holiday contests, and much more! 1000% recommend!

2. Downtown Doggie

Website: https://indydtd.com/
Address: 925 E. Vermont St.
Contact: (317) 979-2665
Hours: Monday – Friday 7:00 AM – 12:00 PM & 3:00 PM – 6:00 PM; Saturday 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM
If you’re looking for a daycare that can handle more than just daily playtime, Downtown Doggie is one of the most convenient pet care hubs I’ve come across.
What makes this place special is their huge 10,000-square-foot facility. With this, dogs have plenty of room for supervised play, training, and other services without feeling cramped.
I also liked that the owners have been training dogs since 2004, so pets are watched by people who actually understand canine behavior.
The best part is the direct access to a real dog park, where they get more outdoor space to roam, play, and safely burn energy.
You can even have your dog groomed before pick-up, which is a huge convenience for busy pet parents.
However, the schedule can be tricky. They close for a three-hour window in the middle of weekdays, so planning ahead is important.

They are very patient with the dog parents
I can’t say enough wonderful things about the staff at DTD Indy. We have taken puppy class with both of our doggos, also did a board and train. Very helpful in learning how to help your pup be the best version of themselves! They are also very patient with the dog parents! I’m pretty sure staff might not be convinced that the tracing worked because both of our dogs get so excited when they get to visit their furry and human friends!!! If our dogs are so happy then so are we!

This is our dogs’ very favorite place in the world
This is our dogs’ very favorite place in the world. They always know when it’s a daycare day and run for the car as soon as they finish breakfast so they can go play. Not only do they have a great time at daycare, they were also well trained by Jody and Hannah. We regularly get compliments on walks about how well behaved our dogs are, and it’s thanks to Downtown Doggie’s great trainers and continued work with them!

3. Priority Boarding

Website: https://priorityboarding.com/
Address: 7875 Milhouse Rd.
Contact: 317-552-1000
Hours: Monday – Friday 7:00 AM – 6:00 PM
For frequent travelers who want extra peace of mind, Priority Boarding stands out. Since the facility is fully owned and operated by a veterinarian, pets are cared for with strong health and sanitation standards.
Their location near the airport makes it a convenient pick for busy pet parents. A coworker of mine uses them often when flying out for business, and they love being able to drop off or pick up their dog 24/7 with zero hassle.
Dogs can also enjoy puppy playdates, training add-ons, and other thoughtful extras that make it feel like a luxury hotel for pets.
However, I’ve found that their daycare setup is somewhat limited since day play is only available from Monday through Friday. Their weekend drop-offs are reserved for overnight guests, so this option is better suited for travelers needing pet care.

I can’t say enough good things about Priority Boarding
It had been difficult to find a boarding facility that my two high energy pups would like, but Priority Boarding delivered! The staff are committed, kind, and you can tell they really love animals. They’re also flexible when I have to change drop off or pick up times based on weather and flight delays. I have peace of mind with the facility being vet owned and the attention to detail the staff puts in to make sure the dogs are taken care of and healthy. I especially enjoy the pictures and videos that are sent in the report cards. I can’t say enough good things about Priority Boarding, they’re wonderful!

Our dog, Fezzick, loves going to Priority Boarding
Our dog, Fezzick, loves going to Priority Boarding! The team there takes such great care of our old guy. They have a special section that is a bit quieter for him which helps with the anxiety of being away from his humans. Fezzick loves the special play time he gets with the staff when he visits. Take the worry out of boarding your pet and use Priority Boarding next time you go out of town or just need daycare services while you’re out and about for the day.

4. Dogtopia of Meridian North

Website: https://www.dogtopia.com/meridian-north/
Address: 9445 N Meridian St
Contact: 317-280-3877, [email protected]
Hours: Monday to Friday 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM; Saturday 10:00 AM – 5:00 PM; Sunday Closed
Looking for a daycare that lets you check on your pup anytime? Dogtopia of Meridian North stands out for their tech-forward setup, which uses activity monitors to track how much exercise your dog gets each day.
Their climate-controlled playrooms even come with UV filtration units to help keep the air fresh and clean. They also offer live webcam access, so you can watch your pup on your phone or computer, adding an extra layer of peace of mind.
I also like that their compressed rubber floors are designed to be gentler on dogs’ joints while they run and play.
That said, there are a few trade-offs. The daycare is completely closed on Sundays, so weekend care isn’t an option.
They also don’t seem to have a dedicated outdoor grass area for dogs who enjoy open-air play.

The staff is exceptional, easy to work with, and is constantly planning fun activities for the pups
My 85 lb Australian Shepherd absolutely loves this place! Every time I drop him off, I can rest easy, knowing he is in great care, and having a BLAST. He pulls me as we approach the door, as he can’t wait to get in and play with his buddies. The staff is exceptional, easy to work with, and is constantly planning fun activities for the pups. Highly recommend!

The staff here truly loves the doggies
Dogtopia has been a lifesaver for us and our little pup Luna. As newer puppy parents we were a little cautious about dropping her off somewhere. They blew us away with everything from their attention to her to their kindness each time to us. The staff here truly love the doggies and you can tell. Luna comes home happy and completely worn out. She lights up every time we pull in the parking lot 😁❤️
If your looking for a great place to help socialize your puppy this is it.

5. Camp Bow Wow Southport

Address: 5311 Commerce Circle
Contact: (910) 983-8344
Hours: Monday to Saturday 6:30 AM – 6:00 PM; Sunday 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM
If clear pricing and flexible care matter to you, Camp Bow Wow Southport is a solid option. This dog camp keeps things simple with all-inclusive rates, so you don’t have to worry about hidden fees for things like giving your dog medication.
They also have large climate-controlled indoor and outdoor play yards, which help dogs stay active safely in any season.
I like the live camera access, too, since it lets owners check on their pets from work. It feels transparent and reassuring.
Another plus is their steady weekend availability. You can even drop your dog off for Sunday play sessions, which is helpful for busy folks with unpredictable schedules.
However, holiday hours are much more limited. They’re usually restricted to two short split shifts, so you’ll need to plan carefully during peak dates.

I feel safe leaving the pups there
The staff always welcomes our girls with a smile! I love the monthly events they have as well! They do a great job with grooming and I feel safe leaving the pups there while we’re on a vacation that they can’t go on! I love that they have cameras in their play rooms and their luxury suites!

Camp Bow Wow is just what we need for our fur baby
Camp Bow Wow is just what we need for our fur baby, Andre. I work from home all week and so I’m here with him but he is an only child and gets bored. The half day option is so affordable and provides the opportunity to get Andre his much needed socialization and gets him moving more than when he is at home. The interview day was seamless and easy! The staff are all super friendly and I LOVE that I can check in through the camper cam anytime I want!
