5 Best Laundry Services in Indianapolis to Give You Your Weekends Back

best-laundry-indianapolis
We extensively test and research all services we review. Here's why you can trust us.

Convenience: I looked at how easy it was to drop off a bag or book pickup without chasing updates. Since laundry services should remove errands, clear scheduling and simple tracking mattered a lot.

Turnaround Time: I checked how fast each business could return everyday clothes and bedding. Quick turnaround matters when workwear or school items can’t sit in a hamper for days.

Pricing Value: I compared rates with the overall usefulness of the service instead of chasing the lowest number alone. Clear minimums and straightforward pricing make it easier to budget week after week.

Facility Experience: I paid attention to whether self-service locations seemed clean and easy to use, with staff around to help when needed.

Service Range: I noted which businesses could handle more than a basic wash, especially bedding or dry cleaning. That matters when you’d rather make one stop than split chores across different places.

Laundry doesn’t take long until it suddenly takes over a whole evening. If you’re juggling work or kids, the right service can save more than time.

The best laundry service in Indianapolis can help with everyday clothes or bulky bedding. And if you’re trying to cut even more chores from your week, pairing it with cleaning services can lighten the load even more.

To sort through the options, I looked at local businesses that either come to you or make wash day easier on-site, so it’s easier to find one that fits the way your week really runs.

How much does a laundry service cost in Indianapolis?

A laundry service in Indianapolis usually costs about $1.75 to $1.99 per pound for wash-and-fold, while self-service loads often run about $3.50 to $12 per load.

Self-Service Washing$3.50-$12.00 per load
Self-Service Drying$1.00-$2.25 per cycle
Wash & Fold (Drop-Off)$1.75-$1.99 per pound
Bulky Items (Drop-Off)$20.00-$38.00 per item
Pickup & Delivery$1.00-$2.25 per pound
Dry Cleaning$12.80-$30.00 per item

1. Fabric Care Center

fabric-care-center

Website: fabriccarecenter.com

Address: 5760 W. Morris St.

Contact: (317) 241-1288

Hours: Mon-Fri 6 AM-7 PM; Sat 6 AM-5 PM; Sun Closed

When laundry keeps spilling into the rest of your schedule, pickup and delivery can make a real difference. That’s where Fabric Care Center feels especially helpful, since they’ll collect garments from your home or office and bring them back after cleaning.

Beyond that, they go further than a basic wash-and-fold because they also handle leather items and shoe shines. That broader service range is useful when you’d rather keep regular clothing care and specialty pieces with one provider.

Their mobile tracking also helps the process feel less vague, since you can see where your order stands instead of wondering when it’ll return.

The main trade-off is access. They’re closed on Sundays, so weekend drop-offs won’t work if that’s when you usually catch up on errands.

Pros

  • Free pickup and delivery
  • Mobile order tracking
  • Leather and shoe care available
  • Family-owned for decades

Cons

  • Closed on Sundays

Customer Reviews:

Saves me a lot of hassle

Just love Fabric Care Center! They have handled my dry cleaning for a number of years. They pick it up right from your front porch and deliver it back to you a few days later. Saves me a lot of hassle and the prices are more than reasonable. They always do a fantastic job!

2. Tide Cleaners

tide-cleaners

Website: tidecleaners.com

Address: 4915 N. Pennsylvania St.

Contact: (317) 283-1361

Hours: Mon-Fri 7 AM-7 PM; Sat 8 AM-5 PM; Sun Closed

Some laundry problems come down to speed, especially when you spot a stain late or need a clean outfit by the next workday. Tide Cleaners works well in that situation because they offer same-day service on many orders.

Just as important, they pair it with a 24/7 locker system for drop-off and pickup, so you’re not tied to the counter schedule. I also like the valet car-side option, which helps on days when one quick errand can still feel like too much.

If you’re trying them for dry cleaning, the new-client discount makes the first order easier to justify.

Even so, there’s still a limit to how flexible the service feels. The storefront is closed on Sundays, so weekend help leans mostly on the automated lockers rather than regular counter service.

Pros

  • 24/7 locker access
  • Valet car-side service
  • Same-day turnaround available
  • New-client dry cleaning discount

Cons

  • Storefront closed on Sundays

Customer Reviews:

It’s nice to have them in the neighborhood

I wear white shirts, I’m messy, I’m legendary forgetting food on my shirts, Tyde does an amazing job of getting out the spots, when they don’t get out the spots, they put a note on it that tells me that it’s a spotted shirt so I don’t wear it on important days, they get things done quicker than I can pick them up, when I walk in Tonya is absolutely wonderful Kind, helpful and efficient. It’s been a long time since I’ve had a dry cleaners that I’m loyal to, it’s nice to have them in the neighborhood.

3. Jump Laundry Wash and Fold – Laundromat Lavanderia

jump-laundry-wash-and-fold-laundromat-lavanderia

Website: jumplaundry.com

Address: 1343 W. 86th St.

Contact: (317) 740-5011

Hours: Daily 7 AM-10 PM

If the most frustrating part of laundry is waiting for an open machine, a bigger laundromat can make the whole job feel much easier.

That’s where Jump Laundry Wash and Fold – Laundromat Lavanderia has a clear advantage, since the facility runs 100 commercial machines and stays open daily.

Because of that, it’s easier to get in and finish bulky loads without losing half your day. I also like that they offer same-day drop-off service and keep the space family-friendly, which matters if you’re bringing kids along.

Free pickup and delivery is another plus, but there’s a catch. You only get that perk when your order is large enough, so smaller loads won’t qualify, and solo customers may not get the same convenience.

Pros

  • 100 commercial machines
  • Same-day drop-off service
  • Clean, family-friendly setup
  • Free pickup on larger orders

Cons

  • Free pickup requires a minimum order

Customer Reviews:

Our clothes always smell fresh and clean

Been using jump for a couple months now for their pickup/drop off wash and fold service and haven’t been disappointed yet. Ran into a hiccup with our clothes not picked up on time

and then forgetting to wash them but the delivery guy called us. Let us know asap and still got our clothes delivered the day we requested. Our clothes always smell fresh and clean! I’m pregnant and am very busy so I’m being grateful for their service and coming all the way down to the Fountain Square area!

No one judges anyone

This place is awesome! The brothers who work here are super sweet, funny, and so caring. They talk to you and try to know you and help you with anything you need! The washers and dryer work really well and it’s not as expensive as other places for the amount of caring, cleanness, etc. I highly recommend this place if you have to do laundry. No one judges anyone and everyone is helpful around here!

4. Bee Clean Laundry

bee-clean-laundry

Website: beecleanlaundry.com

Address: Indianapolis

Contact: (317) 689-0677

Hours: Mon-Fri 7 AM-7 PM; Sat 7 AM-5 PM

Some services work best when you want as little back-and-forth as possible. Bee Clean Laundry stands out for that kind of setup because you can customize washing details and schedule pickup without needing to be home.

That control goes beyond detergent choice, too, since you can set folding preferences and water temperature from the start. As a result, the service feels more tailored than a standard bag-and-go pickup.

I like their next-business-day turnaround, which I find helpful when your washer breaks down or the hamper gets out of control fast. Even the energy-efficient equipment feels like a nice extra once everything else is in place.

The downside is timing. If you want your preferred pickup window, you may need to book as early as 7 AM, which won’t work for everyone.

Pros

  • Custom wash preferences
  • Contact-free pickup and delivery
  • Next-business-day turnaround
  • Energy-efficient equipment

Cons

  • Preferred slots may require very early booking

Take a load off

As a single mom of 3 this has helped take a load off! Literally!! I appreciate the prompt consistent service pick and drop off affords at prices I can manage when things get too piled up. Convenient bags are the biggest plus. Always exceeds my expectations with laundry folded and hung the way I request it

A huge load off my shoulders

Granted I haven’t been using the service long, but so far everything has gone smoothly. It has taken a huge load off my shoulders and given me more time to promote and run my small business. Thank you for doing such a wonderful job, keep up the good work!

5. Royal Laundry Service and Laundromat

royal-laundry-service-and-laundromat

Website: royallaundryservice.com

Address: 9546 Allisonville Rd., #103

Contact: (317) 842-5309

Hours: Daily 8 AM-8 PM

Sometimes the biggest help is simply knowing someone will be there if a machine acts up or you need help choosing the right washer size.

Royal Laundry Service and Laundromat earns points for that because the location is fully attended from open to close every day.

That makes the experience easier for first-timers and just as useful for anyone washing bedding that won’t fit in a smaller machine.

I also like that they offer self-service options as well as drop-off pricing, so the setup works whether you want to stay and wash or hand everything over. Their daily schedule also covers most routines without much trouble.

The drawback shows up later in the evening. Final wash starts have to happen by 8 PM, so night-shift customers won’t get true late-night access.

Pros

  • Fully attended all day
  • Open daily
  • Oversized machines for bedding
  • Solid drop-off pricing

Cons

  • Final wash starts end at 8 PM

Customer Reviews:

Very clean and orderly

The place was very clean and orderly. The people working their were very friendly and helpful. The woman helping me suggested size of machines based on what I had as well as talking me through how to use the cards to pay. It was fairly busy, but still plenty of room for folding, etc. Being at the corner of 96th and Allisonville, it’s a fairly busy intersection, but a light nearby makes it easy to get in and out.

I want my stuff clean and this was the place

Kandis is freaking awesome when it comes to help! Their machines are many and spacious and I have to mention they are clean!

They will help you convert your card or cash into a payment card!

I traveled 40 minutes here from everything else around! I want my stuff clean and this was the place.

I’m traveling for work so I don’t have time to play around! Thank you Kandis and Royal laundromat!
