The 5 Best Crepe Spots in Indianapolis for Sweet and Savory Bites

We extensively test and research all services we review. Here's why you can trust us.

Quality and Freshness: We looked closely at texture, flavor balance, and overall consistency. Spots using fresh fruit, quality fillings, and well-made batter ranked higher in our review.

Menu Variety: I favored businesses that offered a good mix of sweet and savory options. Places with enough range to suit a quick dessert run or a fuller meal stood out more.

Ambiance and Service: A crepe always feels more enjoyable in a place that’s welcoming and easy to settle into. I gave extra weight to cafes and dessert spots with friendly service and a comfortable atmosphere.

Pricing and Value: I compared pricing against portion size, ingredient quality, and the overall experience. Businesses that felt satisfying without pushing too far past the local average scored better here.

Finding the best crepe in Indianapolis gets a lot easier once you know what kind of stop you want. Some places lean into sweet, chocolatey desserts, while others are better for a savory brunch or a classic French-style bite.

I pulled together local spots that stand out for flavor, freshness, and overall value. This guide should help you find a crepe worth ordering, whether you’re craving fruit, cheese, or something in between.

How much does a crepe cost in Indianapolis?

A crepe in Indianapolis usually costs about $7 to $17 per person, depending on whether you order a simple sweet option, a savory meal, or a combo plate.

1. Nami Creperie

nami-creperie

Website: https://namicreperie.square.site

Address: 36 E Washington St

Contact: Not available

Hours: Sunday-Thursday, 10:30 AM – 9:00 PM; Friday-Saturday, 10:30 AM – 10:00 PM

Nami Creperie works well when I want something classic and unfussy right in downtown Indianapolis.

The menu keeps things fairly focused, with sweet options built around fruit and spreads and savory picks that are better suited for a light meal than a huge brunch spread.

I like that it doesn’t try to overcomplicate the experience. A warm Nutella crepe and a drink can be enough here, and the beverage menu helps round out the stop without making it feel too heavy.

The tradeoff is that the flavors stay pretty traditional. If you’re after a more elaborate French dining experience or a menu packed with experimental combinations, this place may feel a little limited.

Still, for a reliable crepe and an easy city-center stop, I think it holds up well.

Pros

  • Dedicated sweet crepe menu
  • Savory options for a light meal
  • Fresh fruit and classic fillings
  • Specialty drinks available

Cons

  • Mostly sticks to standard flavors
  • Not ideal for a full French bistro experience

The hojicha was phenomenal

We tried the Ichigo hojicha and salted caramel latte. The hojicha was phenomenal. And the Nutella crepe was perfectly balanced. Owner was very sweet and remade our salted caramel latte when it was initially too salted.

The perfect spot

I absolutely love the vibe inside, and the staff is incredibly amazing! If you’re on the hunt for a perfectly delicious crepe, this place is the perfect spot! especially when paired with amazing coffee 👌🏻🙌🏻 …

2. Melt N Dip

melt-n-dip

Website: https://meltndip.com

Address: 9840 E 116th St Suite 100, Fishers

Contact: (317) 827-2120

Hours: Monday-Thursday, 10:00 AM – 11:00 PM; Friday-Sunday, 10:00 AM – 12:00 AM

Melt N Dip is the place I would send anyone who wants a crepe that feels more like a full dessert event than a casual snack.

The menu leans hard into Belgian chocolate, fruit, and gelato, so the whole experience feels rich from the moment you walk in.

I appreciate that they play with the format a bit instead of sticking to the usual folded style. The presentation is a big part of the appeal, and that’s part of why it stands out among the top restaurants in Indianapolis.

The downside is that this isn’t the spot for a savory lunch or anything especially light. The menu is centered on sweet, chocolate-forward desserts, so you need to be in the mood for a real sugar hit.

Pros

  • Uses genuine Belgian chocolate
  • Creative crepe presentation
  • Authentic Italian gelato
  • Strong dessert-focused menu

Cons

  • Very chocolate-heavy overall
  • No savory or lighter meal options

The crepe was definitely the standout

We got the #11 crepe with strawberries and bananas as well as a strawberry cup, and Dubai Chocolate strawberry cup. Each item was good, but the crepe was definitely the standout of the three dishes. Our kids got the fruit cups but ended up eating half our crepe. The service was fast, the restaurant had a very cool environment, and everything was clean. It’s definitely a spot to check out if you want something sweet!

The best thing she’s ever eaten

Had an awesome experience at melt n dip last week! The person working was super kind and patient with me and my friend’s 6 kids. He let me sample the chai which was super delicious. My daughter is still raving about the crepe and said it was the best thing she’s ever eaten. I thought they were more generous than most places with their strawberry Dubai cup. I had to eat it in 2 separate sittings and shared it with my children. Will definitely be back! (Also, this is an experience and worth the prices IMO).

3. Dolce Vita

dolce-vita

Website: https://www.dolcevitacrepe.com

Address: 4825 E 96th St

Contact: (317) 663-8497 | [email protected]

Hours: Monday-Saturday, 12:00 PM – 10:00 PM; Sunday, 10:00 AM – 9:00 PM

Dolce Vita feels like a good fit for anyone who wants dessert options that go well beyond the basics. The sweet menu is broad, and I was impressed by how many combinations it packs in without everything feeling repetitive.

Lotus Biscoff, dulce de leche, gelato, and the more eye-catching Dubai Chocolate options give it the kind of menu that is easy to revisit.

If you’re working with a wedding caterer in Indianapolis, this is the kind of dessert spread that feels easy to picture at a big celebration.

That said, the focus is completely on sweet preparations. There’s no savory side to balance things out, so this is better for dessert, a treat stop, or sharing something rich with a group than it is for a full lunch or dinner.

Pros

  • Dubai Chocolate specialty options
  • More than 15 sweet combinations
  • Rich dessert ingredients and toppings
  • Baklava and milkshakes are available

Cons

  • Entirely focused on sweet items
  • No savory meal choices

The food was amazing

My husband and I visited this place and we loved it! The food was amazing, the staff was so kind, and the presentation was exactly like the pictures! I would recommend this place to all of my family and friends. I got the Dubai chocolate crepe which was so delicious and my husband got the Dubai chocolate Sunday which was also very beautiful and delicious. We will be returning in the future:)

The perfect spot to hang out

Visiting Indiana for the first time and we were in the mood for some ice cream…. Found this gem of a place! The ice cream was delicious, they also offer crepes, waffles, milkshakes, smoothies ad hot drinks! The perfect spot to hang out 😍 they have have a couple of bar  stools and sitting areas that you can come and visit with family and friends. So glad, we found it! Did you see the size of our crepe??!!! Totally worth  🩷

4. Petite Chou Bistro & Champagne Bar

petite-chou-bistro-champagne-bar

Website: https://www.petitechoubistro.com/menus/

Address: 823 Westfield Blvd

Contact: (317) 259-0765

Hours: Sunday-Tuesday, 8:00 AM – 3:00 PM; Wednesday-Saturday, 8:00 AM – 9:00 PM

Petite Chou Bistro & Champagne Bar is the one I would pick when I want a crepe as part of a fuller French bistro meal.

The setting feels more polished than a quick dessert shop, and the scratch-made approach comes through in both the texture and overall quality.

I was especially drawn to the idea of sitting on the patio with coffee and ordering something buttery and savory. Their broader breakfast, brunch, lunch, and dinner menus also make it easier to visit with people who want more than one kind of dish.

The only catch is that crepes are not the sole focus here. If you want a specialized crepe-only stop or a purely casual dessert run, the bistro feel may come across as a little more formal than you need.

Pros

  • Authentic French bistro atmosphere
  • Scratch-made crepes and dishes
  • Fresh ingredients from local vendors
  • Breakfast, lunch, and dinner service

Cons

  • More of a full bistro than a crepe shop

The delish ham and gruyere gallette

I’m a relative novice when it comes to French food but even I found items on the menu I could understand including the delish ham and gruyere gallette (savory crepe pictures here). The outdoor seating included beautiful view of the local shops.

Best crepe I’ve had in a long time

We had a very pleasant brunch. Loved the atmosphere. We enjoyed the seasonal hot chocolate cocktails with the taste mallow garnish. I get the mushroom farrow soup my past several visits and love it everytime. Best crepe I’ve had in a long time.

5. Hi Mango Dessert

hi-mango-dessert

Website: https://www.himangoindy.com/menu/

Address: 6351 E 82nd St

Contact: (317) 829-6667

Hours: Monday-Thursday, 12:00 PM – 10:00 PM; Friday-Saturday, 12:00 PM – 10:30 PM; Sunday, 12:00 PM – 10:00 PM

Hi Mango Dessert is a better match for fruit lovers than for anyone chasing a classic savory crepe meal.

The appeal here is freshness. Mango, soft desserts, slushes, and specialty cakes all push the menu toward bright, juicy flavors instead of heavier chocolate or cheese-based fillings.

I was impressed by how much the place leans into hand-made items and fresh ingredients. That makes its mango crepe cake and similar desserts feel more carefully prepared than just another sugar-heavy stop.

The tradeoff is that the flavor profile stays narrow on purpose. If you want a traditional savory crepe or a broader French cafe menu, this won’t scratch that itch. It makes the most sense when you’re craving a fruit-forward dessert.

Pros

  • Fresh fruit takes center stage
  • Menu items are made by hand
  • Rotating specialty cakes
  • Slushes and other dessert options

Cons

  • Fruit-forward flavors dominate
  • Not built for savory crepe cravings

BEST DECISION EVER

I got the matcha ice cream, coconut balls and slush, with red beans (#C2 on the menu) and it was the BEST DECISION EVER. SO SO GOOD and reminds me of Thai icy desserts. My sister got the egg waffle with taro ice cream which we ate before we could take the pic!! Also got the mango crepe cake to take home and can’t wait to try it

The mango was so fresh and sweet

First time trying this place. I was impressed by the quality of food. I ordered a mango crepe cake and mango pancake and they tasted amazing! The mango was so fresh and sweet. The presentation of the food is great as well. Good for taking cute photos.
