Breathe easier with the 5 best curtain cleaning services in Indianapolis

best-curtain-cleaning-indianapolis
We extensively test and research all services we review. Here's why you can trust us.

Cleaning Methods: I looked at the techniques each company uses for different fabrics. Safe options matter when curtains are heavy, delicate, or difficult to remove.

Convenience and Speed: I checked how easy it is to book the service and get the job done. Pickup options, on-site work, and shorter drying times can make the process less stressful.

Customer Service: I paid attention to communication from the first call through the final pickup or visit. Clear pricing and helpful updates usually point to a more reliable team.

Specialized Expertise: I considered whether each cleaner can handle tougher situations like smoke damage, strong odors, or allergy concerns. That kind of experience matters when basic cleaning isn’t enough.

Curtains can make a room feel finished, but they also hold dust much longer than most

people notice. If allergies flare up every time you open the windows, the fabric might be part of the problem.

That’s why finding the best curtain cleaning in Indianapolis matters when you want cleaner fabric without risking damage. So I looked at cleaners with careful fabric handling and service options that make the process easier to book.

Cleaner drapes can make a room feel fresher alongside upholstery cleaning, especially when dust settles into more than one soft surface.

If the air still feels heavy after the fabric is cleaned, air duct cleaning can support the same goal from another angle.

How much does curtain cleaning cost in Indianapolis?

1. Fabric Care Center

fabric-care-center

Website: fabriccarecenter.com

Address: 5760 W. Morris Street

Contact: 317-241-1288

Hours: Monday to Friday, 6:00 AM to 7:00 PM; Saturday, 6:00 AM to 5:00 PM; Sunday, Closed

Fabric Care Center is the easiest pick if you want your drapes handled without adding another errand to your week. The free pickup and delivery service is the real draw, especially for heavy panels that are awkward to transport.

The family-run business has been around since 1960, and that long fabric-care background shows in how carefully they handle delicate materials.

I hired them for a heavy set of velvet living room drapes last year. The driver arrived on time, and the tracking app made it easy to know when the order would return.

The catch is weekend access. They’re closed on Sundays, so you’ll need to plan pickups or drop-offs around that schedule.

Pros

  • Free pick-up and delivery
  • Automated tracking app
  • Over 60 years of experience
  • A+ BBB accreditation

Cons

  • Closed on Sundays

Customer Reviews

Very happy

Very happy with the service provided. Staff was friendly and helpful. I have heavy drapes that need to be cleaned periodically and this cleaner does a very good job and at half the price of they’re competitors on the other side of town.

Completed prior to the promised time

Service was very polite, helpful ,and the order was completed prior to the promised time.  I find the text communications helpful and the app very convenient to complete the transaction. Also they did a beautiful job on some pieces that have a lot of detail, would be a disaster to even try to hand wash and press!

2. Touchstone Cleanings of Indianapolis IN

Website: touchstoneclean.com

Address: Serves Indianapolis and nearby areas

Contact: 317-698-9930 | [email protected]

Hours: Available 24/7

Fast drying matters when curtains hang in busy rooms, and Touchstone Cleanings of Indianapolis is built around that. Their three-part process uses pre-scrubbing, steam cleaning, and active drying to cut down on leftover moisture.

The result is less risk of that musty smell that can happen when fabric stays damp too long. I also like their deodorizing step for homes dealing with pet or cooking odors.

Plus, their flat-rate packages make it easier to budget without wondering where the final price will land.

The drawback is basic availability information. They don’t clearly post standard operating hours online, so you may need to contact them first before knowing when scheduling is realistic.

Pros

  • Fast and active drying times
  • Specialized pre-scrubbing tool
  • Potent post-cleaning deodorizer
  • Transparent flat-rate specials

Cons

  • Hours not clearly disclosed

3. Indiana ProClean

indiana-proclean

Website: indianaproclean.com

Address: 3202 W Thornbury Dr., Suite 1, Bloomington

Contact: 812-337-5000

Hours: Monday to Sunday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM

On-site steam cleaning is the biggest reason to consider Indiana ProClean. Instead of taking curtains down, the team can clean drapes where they already hang, which is helpful if you’re dealing with heavy panels or a tight schedule.

Their eco-friendly steam method also avoids harsh chemical detergents. A neighbor hired them for her son’s bedroom curtains because dust was making his allergies worse, and she liked that the high-heat process left no chemical smell behind.

Plus, they’re open every day, which makes booking easier than with many fabric cleaners.

The trade-off is travel time. Since the company is based outside the city, availability may not feel as immediate as a cleaner with a closer local base.

Pros

  • Convenient on-site cleaning
  • Eco-friendly steam method
  • Good option for allergy concerns
  • Open seven days a week

Cons

  • Travel time may affect availability

Excellent service

This small, family-owned business has excellent service, immediate response, amazing customer attention and stands far above any competitors.  BJ runs his company like a fire department – you call, they show up immediately to help you out.  I have done business with Indiana Proclean for over a decade and won’t even consider calling any other company.  If you need a service done that this company provides, don’t think, just call them.  You will be extremely happy and relieved you can call them back whether you just need a carpet cleaned or more.

There were no harsh chemicals

I had a great experience with this company, Pro Clean. My very first phone call was with the owner and the two gentleman who came to my home were friendly and explained everything they were doing. They assured me that there were no harsh chemicals that would be harmful to me or my dog. I would use this company again and will recommend them to my family and friends.

4. Carriage Cleaners

carriage-cleaners

Website: carriagecleanersrestoration.com

Address: 2950 Hanna Avenue

Contact: 317-784-2642 | 800-953-6622

Hours: Available 24/7

When curtains have smoke, mold, or water damage, a routine cleaner may not be enough. Carriage Cleaners works more like a soft textile restoration specialist, which makes them useful after a fire, leak, or major home emergency.

The team is set up for damaged garments and household fabrics, not just normal freshening. Their 24/7 emergency line is also reassuring when you can’t wait days to start recovery work.

This is where the service stands apart from standard dry cleaning. They can handle difficult contaminants that would likely overwhelm a regular cleaner.

The main catch is fit. They’re geared toward restoration, so they aren’t the most practical option for routine curtain maintenance.

Pros

  • Specialized in disaster restoration
  • 24/7 emergency response line
  • Handles smoke, mold, and water damage
  • Decades of niche textile experience

Cons

  • Not ideal for routine cleaning

5. SERVPRO

servpro

Website: servpro.com

Address: 333 N Alabama St, Ste 350

Contact: 317-584-6016

Hours: Available 24/7

Large cleanup jobs are where SERVPRO makes the most sense. The team has national franchise resources behind them, which can be reassuring if your curtains are part of a bigger property problem after water, smoke, or biohazard exposure.

They also handle related services such as HVAC cleaning and pathogen mitigation, so you can coordinate more than one recovery need through the same provider. That can be helpful after a messy building issue, especially if insurance paperwork is involved.

I like that their technicians can help with the claim process, too, since that step can feel confusing after property damage.

The downside is the service style. Because they work at a large-franchise scale, general curtain cleaning may feel less personal than a boutique fabric cleaner.

Pros

  • Available 24/7 for immediate dispatch
  • Backed by national franchise resources
  • Offers HVAC, biohazard, and pathogen cleaning
  • Assists with the insurance claim process

Cons

  • Less personal than boutique cleaners

Very professional and efficient

Tyree and Pedro were very professional and efficient. They put their heads down and got to work until the job was done. Excellent representative for your company! I told them if I was still owned my company I would hire them in a minute!

Fantastic work all around

I had a great experience with the ServePro team, Jennifer, Rob and Pedro. Jennifer was prompt and fast, turning around a quote same day and having her crew in the following week to complete the work.  Rob and Pedro did a great job protecting the floors and keeping site tidy as they worked.  Fantastic work all around.  Highly recommended.
