Hours: Monday – Friday: 9:30 AM – 8:00 PM, Saturday: 8:30 AM – 6:00 PM, Sunday: 9:30 AM – 6:00 PM

Walking into a sanctuary right in the middle of a bustling entertainment district offers a unique contrast.

Woodhouse Spa centers its services around holistic therapies like meditative mood soaks and halotherapy (salt therapy), providing a full-service retreat without leaving the city.

During my recent visit, I found their technology-detox packages highly effective for disconnecting from my usual screen-heavy routine.

Plus, the quiet room, complete with a warm robe and soothing tea, makes the downtime between treatments incredibly restorative.

Because they are situated in such a popular area, you’ll need to plan weekend visits.

Nonetheless, it serves as a highly convenient urban escape for anyone needing immediate stress relief, especially on weekdays.

Pros

  • Features specific technology-detox packages to help guests disconnect
  • Offers distinct treatments like Black Sand Rejuvenation therapy
  • Situated in a walkable entertainment district
  • Includes access to a quiet room with robes and relaxing teas

Cons

  • Popular weekend timeslots book up very quickly

Lily was great

Lily was great! She was thoughtful about pressure warm towels, bed movement and how comfortable I was. I appreciated that the session started face up as I prefer to end my massages face down. Would recommend her as she was able to provide both gentle and firm pressure throughout the session.

We would both love to come back

I had a great experience. My husband came with me for his first ever massage, he was nervous but afterwards said it was amazing. We had Rachel and Bex and can only say the best about him. We would both love to come back and hopefully see them again!

2. Conrad Spa Indianapolis

Website: https://www.hilton.com/en/hotels/indcici-conrad-indianapolis/spa/

Address: 50 W Washington Street, 6th Floor

Contact: (317) 524-2575

Hours: Monday – Thursday: 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM, Friday: 10:00 AM – 7:00 PM, Saturday: 9:00 AM – 7:00 PM, Sunday: 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM

Finding an accessible urban retreat inside a downtown hotel can completely change your weekend routine.

Conrad Spa offers a quiet environment focused entirely on wellness and restorative treatments. Guests gain access to an indoor pool and fitness center with any booked treatment, making it easy to turn a quick visit into a longer session.

If you recently strained your muscles taking dance classes in Indianapolis, their targeted service enhancements like compression boots and light therapy offer excellent relief.

I also love how their staff maintains a strict cell-phone-free environment to ensure maximum peace and privacy for everyone.

However, do note that the building is located right in the busy downtown core, so city traffic is a consideration. While valet parking is available at the hotel, you’ll have to find other parking options around the block if you want to save on the expensive rates.

Pros

  • Includes access to an indoor pool and fitness center
  • Features a calming sound immersion experience using layered tones
  • Provides targeted service enhancements like light therapy
  • Strict cell-phone-free environment

Cons

  • Busy downtown location; can get heavy traffic
  • Expensive valet parking on-site

I highly recommend booking

Wow! I just had the Hot Stone Exfoliation treatment and it was amazing! I usually see Sandy for  facials  but decided to try something new. If you need an hour of complete relaxation, I highly recommend booking this service. The product she used made my skin feel luxurious and the warm stones felt amazing. If you’re wanting to treat yourself I highly suggest booking this service with Sandy… you will be happy you did!

I highly recommend Sandra Moloy at the Conrad spa in Indianapolis. She is just excellent, kind,  and has.  the.  skills. when it comes to massage, facials, and body treatments.  I live locally and have been doing the occasional spa day at the Conrad for a few years now. I always request Sandra for my services and she never disappoints!

Due to its intimate boutique setting, there aren’t added amenities like on-site dressing rooms or saunas. Still, the focused attention makes it an appealing spot for anyone seeking a quieter environment.

Also, it’s worth noting that the spa is located in a walkable area, making it easy to combine a treatment with other errands. You can grab a coffee or visit one of the best hair salons in Indianapolis right after your appointment.

The whole experience was lovely

The Village Spa is an inviting and tranquil spa from the moment you arrive. The decor is beautiful and inspires relaxation. The whole experience was lovely. I went for the Fire and Ice O2 facial. On arrival, my skin was dry, dull, and red. I left feeling that my skin felt more calm and very moisturized. Thank you for the wonderful service!

Exceptional Signature Massage

This was my second visit, and it was an absolute delight. Tracy provided an exceptional Signature Massage, inducing a state of profound relaxation that resulted in several instances of sleep during the 90-minute session. Additionally, I received Dry Brushing, which I highly recommend. I will undoubtedly return for future experiences.

4. Honey Bee Well Spa

Website: https://www.massagebook.com/therapists/bewellhoney

Address: 6160 N. Rural St Suite 1117

Contact: (317) 797-1834

Hours: Tuesday – Saturday: 10:30 AM – 6:30 PM

Sometimes, true relaxation requires stepping away from crowded waiting rooms and opting for an intimate sanctuary.

Honey Bee Well Spa is operated by a dedicated sole practitioner who focuses heavily on both physical rehabilitation and mental decompression.

When I booked a session here last month, I appreciated how seamlessly the therapist incorporated cupping and hot stones to address my persistent shoulder tension.

I also loved how they even give clients the freedom to select their preferred treatment music, adding a highly customized touch to the visit!

Because it’s a one-practitioner operation, availability remains inherently limited and requires booking your appointment weeks ahead of time.

For those prioritizing a deeply personalized connection, the extra planning is entirely worthwhile.

Pros

  • Best for customized massage bundles
  • Incorporates techniques like cupping and hot stones
  • Welcoming atmosphere
  • Allows guests to select their preferred treatment music

Cons

  • Limited availability
  • Requires booking appointments well in advance

Highly recommend

The honey massage was sooooo amazing! Especially during winter with such dry skin, not only did this massage help my stress & my muscles, but it also helped smooth & soften my skin! She is amazing! She treats you like an actual person & not just her next client. Highly recommend!!

You won’t be disappointed

My daughter and I had the MOST relaxing and calming experience.  Erin and Joelle were amazing.  I’d choose this over a massage any day.  We left there feeling refreshed and all the aches were gone from my neck, and my daughter felt like it helped with her sinuses.  They’re very thorough about the treatment.  If you’re considering a calm, holistic Japanese head spa, book it!  I promise you won’t be disappointed.   We will definitely be back frequently.
