Hours: Monday – Sunday 11 AM – 7 PM

Bargain hunters and vintage collectors alike often need a spot where they can comfortably browse for hours without worrying about the weather. Emporium 40E solves this with its spacious indoor facility.

Here, you can find individual vendor booths, offering a vast selection of antiques and everyday goods. You’ll get to dig through rows of vintage decor and practical household staples under one climate-controlled roof.

I recently spoke with a fellow collector who found a gorgeous mid-century lamp here and confirmed that digging through the sometimes cluttered booths is entirely worth the effort.

Since Emporium 40E focuses on giving smaller local vendors an affordable space to sell ensures the inventory rotates frequently, so every visit brings fresh discoveries.

While a few booths can definitely appear unorganized and require patience to navigate, that chaotic energy is part of the classic thrifting thrill.

Pros

  • Spacious 29,700-square-foot layout
  • Huge variety of vintage items
  • Climate-controlled indoor environment
  • Affordable local vendor space

Cons

  • Occasional unorganized displays

A good place to find everything from toys to refrigerators… decorations, well you’ll find everything… a good atmosphere to walk around… you’ll even look at Real Joyeria… excellent music to relax on a very busy day… come and grab a cart to walk through all the aisles…

They have a wide variety of shops inside of 1 shop. Almost anything you need you can find here. You may even find some things you didn’t need but couldn’t deny yourself having it. Friendly atmosphere, too. Win-Win.

2. Peddlers Mall

Address: 8011 East Washington Street

Contact: 317-353-6710

Hours: Sunday – Thursday 11 AM – 7 PM, Friday – Saturday 10 AM – 8 PM

Peddlers Mall maintains a clean, organized environment that beautifully showcases the unique vendor booths.

What makes it unique is that it’s an indoor peddlers market where vendors rent spaces and don’t need to be physically present to make a sale.

It’s a zero-pressure shopping experience here! You can take your time inspecting the huge selection of quality vintage and antique merchandise without any hovering sales pitches.

Once you finish browsing, a central register allows you to check out all items quickly at one convenient stop.

However, since the vendors are rarely present in their booths, your ability to negotiate prices on items is severely limited. If you spot an antique dresser or a rare comic book, you typically have to pay the exact sticker price.

Pros

  • Clean and organized shopping space
  • Hundreds of unique booths
  • High-quality antique merchandise
  • Quick central register checkout

Cons

  • Non-negotiable prices

My first review! I’m visiting my grands in Indy and my daugter suggested I stop in and see the new Peddlers Mall location. I will say this, the location is phenomenal and brighter! If I could give 10 stars to Don for his customer service I would. He told me they’re expanding five day booth sections and I’m strongly considering since I’m in early retirement. Can’t wait to see what’s to come for the mall!

Not going to lie my last few visits have not been great. The dark hair manager is usually rude and the other cashier isn’t that great either. Today I was stopped by a new guy with glasses to check my purse. He was polite and explained he was trying to prevent any theft. I appreciate how kind he was. I will definitely be back in to shop since they have new staff.

Starting a new retail business can be intimidating, but Trader Buck’s Flea Market focuses specifically on fostering local entrepreneurship. They are offering accessible, low-cost vendor booth rentals to new sellers in the community.

Entrepreneurs looking to step away from complicated digital marketing strategies or to learn about SEO in Indianapolis often appreciate this hands-on, local retail approach.

It directly supports the growth of local micro-business owners while keeping the shopping experience highly affordable for any budget.

Because the facility stays open seven days a week, finding time to hunt through the massive variety of new and handcrafted products is incredibly convenient.

Just note that the space does contain a noticeable amount of generic retail goods rather than pure vintage antiques, so die-hard collectors might feel slightly underwhelmed.

Still, the welcoming atmosphere makes it a great spot for weekend explorers who simply want to support emerging community merchants and find a random bargain.

Pros

  • Supports local micro-business owners
  • Massive variety of products
  • Convenient seven-day schedule
  • Highly affordable item pricing

Cons

  • Abundance of generic retail goods
  • Lack of pure vintage antiques

I love frequenting flea markets and it was my first time visiting this spot. Compared to other markets I was pleasantly surprised to see many items at a reasonable price and most of the booths looked fairly maintained. The staff here were also very friendly. Great finds!

The first thing I noticed when I walked in was how clean and fresh the store smelled. The carpet might be a little on the nasty side, but honestly, that didn’t take away from the experience. There’s so much to look through, and I kept finding hidden treasures around every corner. This is definitely my new go-to spot for affordable and unique finds. I love the staff and the service they provide is amazing! 🤩

Address: 3440 Shadeland Ave.

Hours: Monday – Sunday 11 AM – 7 PM

Finding time to shop across different independent sellers usually takes up an entire weekend.

Shadeland Peddlers Flea Market utilizes a convenient centralized checkout system that allows shoppers to buy from multiple unmanned vendor booths at once.

This setup creates a zero-pressure environment where you can freely explore the eclectic mix of seasonal goods and antique collectibles at your own pace.

Families and weekend explorers will appreciate the daily operating hours that easily fit into busy schedules while offering many brand-new items priced far below standard Manufacturer’s Suggested Retail Price (MSRP).

On the downside, the physical facility shows its age and could definitely benefit from minor interior updates, as some sections feel a bit dark and worn out.

Despite these aesthetic flaws, the impressive discounts and smooth checkout process keep local bargain hunters returning regularly.

Pros

  • Zero-pressure shopping experience
  • Deep discounts on brand-new items
  • Convenient daily operating hours
  • Eclectic mix of seasonal goods

Cons

  • Noticeably aged physical facility
  • Worn interior requiring updates

The store is huge with something for everyone. The prices are reasonable. I found a fur coat for $50 if that gives you any idea how awesome this place is. The staff is super friendly as well! One of my favorite thrifts.

I’ve been to many flea markets, and I really liked this one! Many booths with a wide variety of items to choose from, all at fair prices. Friendly and helpful staff, interesting items, and fairly priced – a must go if you’re in the area!

5. Me & My Sisters Flea Market

Address: 1612 IN-44, Shelbyville

Antique lovers searching for a more refined thrifting adventure will appreciate Me & My Sisters Flea Market, a highly curated, family-run market featuring over 7,000 square feet of hand-picked vintage goods.

The indoor space, filled with over 75 diverse vendors, remains remarkably clean and welcoming for all visitors. They host vibrant outdoor market events from May through October, drawing large crowds.

International collectors who might normally need translation services in Indianapolis for complex antique documentation often find the friendly staff extremely helpful and accommodating during these busy weekends.

I bought a stunning oak side table from their dedicated furniture building last summer, and the quality of their antique selection was excellent.

Just keep in mind that parking becomes extremely congested during these popular outdoor events, so arriving early is highly recommended.

Pros

  • Clean and organized indoor space
  • Vibrant seasonal outdoor events
  • Over 75 high-quality antique vendors
  • Dedicated vinyl and furniture building

Cons

  • Extremely congested event parking
  • Limited parking availability

Customer Review

We absolutely love this place! It’s like walking through a time portal. There is literally something for everyone! I recommend stoping in early because it will take over an hour to walk through and see everything they have to offer. Not very many places like this remaining in America. The Staff have always been friendly and helpful. Highly recommend!

If you love antiquing and flea market shopping, this market should be among the top of your list of places to visit. High-end flea market meets affordable antique mall. The vendors are active and the merchandise changes daily, so every visit is a brand new experience. It’s clean, the junk factor is surprisingly low to almost none and the owner is friendly and knowledgeable. Even the ambient music is good. It’s not a huge, sprawling, overwhelming, indoor flea market, but it’s not exactly small, either. Highly recommend.
