We extensively test and research all services we review. Here's why you can trust us.

Material Performance: We evaluated the thermal resistance and durability of the specific products used by each local contractor. Our team focused on materials that maintain their integrity over several decades without significant settling or degradation.

Service Versatility: Our selection process favored companies capable of handling diverse projects, from residential attics to large-scale industrial warehouses. We looked for installers who offer specialized solutions, such as crawlspace encapsulation and air sealing, alongside standard applications.

Pricing Transparency: We scrutinized each business’s approach to estimates and final billing to ensure there are no hidden fees. Professionals who provide detailed, upfront cost breakdowns for both labor and materials earned higher rankings.

Local Reputation: We assessed the standing of these contractors within the Indianapolis community by looking at their history of successful projects. Priority was given to teams with NATE-certified (North American Technician Excellence) technicians and a proven track record of punctuality.

Maintaining a comfortable indoor climate in Indiana can be challenging, especially with freezing winters and hot, humid summers.

Choosing the right insulation in Indianapolis is essential for lowering energy costs and protecting your property. Quality insulation not only retains heat but also improves air quality, reduces noise, and helps prevent moisture damage.

We spent several weeks researching local installers to find the most reliable options. This guide highlights top professionals who combine technical expertise with fair pricing to help keep your property efficient throughout the year.

1. Bryant’s Insulation

Website: http://bryantshomeimprovements.com/

Address: 10645 Wyatt Dr

Contact: (317) 203-5120

Hours:

  • Monday – Friday: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
  • Saturday: 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM

Standard insulation often sags over time, but the blown-in fiberglass used by Bryant’s Insulation is designed to resist settling. Because of this, your property maintains its thermal resistance for decades rather than losing efficiency after just a few years.

We recently spoke with a homeowner who used their services for a drafty attic. He said the difference in their heating bill was almost immediate.

We also love that Bryant’s Insulation uses water-resistant, fire-retardant products. This significantly enhances the safety of your home environment.

Their materials are also rodent-proof, which helps you avoid the headache of calling for pest control due to nesting in the walls.

That said, since they focus exclusively on blown-in fiberglass, they might not be the right fit if you specifically require spray foam or rigid board solutions.

Pros

  • Installs water-resistant materials
  • Utilizes mold-resistant products
  • Applies rodent-proof barriers
  • Uses fire-retardant fiberglass

Cons

  • Limited to blown-in fiberglass only
  • No spray foam options available

We had a great experience

We had a great experience working with Bryant to upgrade our attic insulation. We chose them because they had a strong rating and after a bad experience with another contractor I was very relieved that they have integrity. Luckily we were able to be recommended another contractor who helped us solve our other issues caused by improper  HVAC installation and I noticed our gas bill dropped by about 12 percent in the first month since insulating. We had to reschedule a couple of times but we’re very happy with the results. We highly recommend them.

Chris and team did an amazing job

Chris and team did an amazing job insulating my attic. It sounds crazy, but my wife and I could already feel a difference immediately after they were finished (our prior insulation was only around eight inches in depth). I added before/after pictures to the review; some parts of the house were completely bare before Bryant came to the rescue. I don’t think we’ll cold this winter for the first time in a long time!

2. Spray Foam Insulation Indianapolis

Controlling humidity and vapor movement is essential for keeping a structure in good condition, and Spray Foam Insulation Indianapolis delivers on that.

They focus on open- and closed-cell applications that create tight, airtight seals. Because of this, they help block outdoor contaminants and allergens, which improves indoor air quality while lowering daily utility costs.

Their foam also limits heat transfer by convection and conduction, thereby supporting the overall strength of the building.

Plus, the dense application works as an effective sound barrier. This makes them a good option for homes near busy roads or noisy areas.

However, it is important to note that spray foam has a higher upfront cost than traditional fiberglass or cellulose.

While long-term savings can be significant, the initial investment may be challenging if you are working with a strict budget.

Pros

  • Lowers daily heating and cooling costs
  • Reduces sound transmission between floors
  • Prevents convection and conduction
  • Enhances indoor air quality

Cons

  • Higher initial material costs
  • More expensive than traditional types

Hours: Available 24 hours

Improving energy efficiency often starts with understanding how your insulation and HVAC system work together. Indy Home Comfort offers attic upgrades and crawlspace encapsulation, along with detailed evaluations of your heating and cooling setup.

Last winter, I had them inspect my home. Their NATE-certified technicians did a thorough job identifying air leaks I had completely missed.

They also stand out for their transparent pricing, so you know exactly what to expect before the project begins.

On top of that, they offer waterproofing services to help prevent the moisture issues that are common in Indiana basements.

That said, because they handle both HVAC repairs and insulation work, scheduling for smaller projects can sometimes take longer.

Pros

  • Delivers complete attic makeovers
  • Provides full crawlspace encapsulations
  • Offers transparent upfront pricing
  • Employs NATE-certified technicians

Cons

  • Focus is split with HVAC services
  • Not an exclusive insulation specialist

Money well-spent

I purchased a 52 year old townhouse that basically had no attic insulation remaining.   Steve provided an estimate that addressed the very same concerns which were in my inspection report–but he hadn’t seen the report!  Therefore, I trusted his expertise right away.  The temperature difference upstairs is noticeable.  It was definitely money well-spent with a reputable company.

Overall reasonable prices

I’ve had Indiana Home Comfort Solutions perform a lot of work for me on a house I bought last year and am just now getting around to reviewing…new A/C, new furnace, added insulation. Overall reasonable prices, honest people and patient with a new homeowner. Steve is very knowledgeable and his crew (Robbie, Brad, Austin) are some of the hardest working people I’ve met. Highly recommend.

4. Precision Insulation

Address: 326 S Holmes Ave

Contact: (463) 307-0968

Each property comes with its own set of challenges, and Precision Insulation addresses this by offering customized insulation solutions for both homes and commercial buildings.

They are experienced in handling everything from walls and attics to more complex basement renovations that require proper moisture protection. Sealing cracks and gaps also helps keep pests out and reduces the chance of mold buildup.

Plus, their approach helps improve energy efficiency, reducing energy use and supporting environmentally friendly living.

On the downside, their focus on larger commercial work can sometimes lead to longer wait times for residential projects. Booking ahead is usually the best way to stay on schedule.

Pros

  • Deters pests by sealing structural cracks
  • Prevents moisture buildup and mold
  • Lowers energy usage and emissions
  • Works with diverse building spaces

Cons

  • Potential for longer wait times
  • Commercial projects may delay residential work

Extremely impressed

Having had work done on my home many times throughout the years I have to say this was one of the most seamless companies I have hired.  From start to finish everything was explained well and put my mind as a homeowner at ease.   The level of quality craftsmanship and organization made everything turn out great!  Everybody that I got to speak to was very prompt and responsive.  Extremely impressed and highly recommended!

When it comes to large projects, a strong supply network can make a big difference. That’s exactly why Gale Insulation is a solid choice for insulation needs. They benefit from a nationwide reach.

They offer a range of materials (including foam board, cellulose, and spray foam) to suit different project needs. Their installers are also skilled in air sealing, which helps prevent unwanted air from entering or escaping a building.

On top of that, they offer fireproofing services that improve resistance during fire situations. This makes them a solid option for commercial projects that are especially strict with safety standards.

Even more impressive, their team is experienced in both new construction and large renovations.

That said, scheduling may be difficult for homeowners with weekday commitments since Gale Insulation doesn’t operate on weekends.

Pros

  • Installs multiple material types
  • Provides specialized air sealing
  • Handles large new construction projects
  • Supplies professional fireproofing

Cons

  • No service available on weekends
  • Limited weekday-only hours
