1. Twisted Room Escapes

Website: http://www.twistedroomescapes.com/
Address: 3145 E Thompson Rd
Contact: (317) 757-2856 | [email protected]
Hours: Sunday: 1:30–6 PM; Wednesday-Thursday: 12:30–8 PM; Friday: 4–10 PM; Saturday: 1:30–10:30 PM
Organizing a corporate retreat that actually forces your team to communicate is notoriously difficult, and Twisted Room Escapes solves this by using scenario-based collaboration.
Here, they place groups into highly specific real-life adventure scenarios that naturally draw out individual strengths and force reliance on group dynamics to succeed.
The pressure-cooker environment quickly reveals hidden leadership traits and hones time-management skills, making it a strategic choice for managers evaluating team cohesion.
Best of all, the staff handles coordination seamlessly for groups of all sizes, offering specific per-player discounts for parties of four or more. This makes it an affordable, high-return investment for small business owners.
I also appreciate that they offer dedicated assistance to align the puzzles with your specific corporate goals. However, the strict 60-minute cap on missions means you must plan supplementary activities to have a full-day event.
Customer Reviews:
We had a blast.
Work event for team building! We had a blast. Puzzles were appropriately difficult and leading. When we got pretty stuck our host gave us just the right clues. We need to come back for a different room

I plan on going back with my coworkers as well for team building exp.
Definitely something different for me and family to exp when we’ve run out of local things to do. We a had a blast was a good mix of thinking outside the box and simple problem solving puzzles as I was expecting not to mention the team work that needed to solve some of the riddles. I plan on going back with my family and my coworkers as well for team building exp.

2. Sandbox VR

Website: https://sandboxvr.com/indianapolis
Address: 850 Massachusetts Avenue, Suite 150
Contact: (317) 999-9908
Hours: Monday-Thursday: 10 AM-10 PM; Friday-Sunday: 10 AM-11 PM
Sandbox VR delivers Hollywood-grade virtual reality (VR), equipping teams with 3D-precision body trackers and haptic suits integrated with motion-capture cameras, enabling them to physically interact within a shared digital world.
The cinematic missions rely heavily on reading nonverbal cues under pressure, which translates well to workplace collaboration.
Because the technology manages the environmental movement, participants don’t leave exhausted. It’s particularly great how the setup seamlessly accommodates various fitness levels.
I brought a small corporate team here last quarter, and watching usually reserved employees confidently shout tactical commands to one another was a fantastic sight.
Their staff even facilitates pre-game planning and post-game debriefs to unpack team dynamics.
While highly engaging, the heavy headsets and fast-paced virtual motion can trigger motion sickness in sensitive team members, so it may still not suit the entire office roster.

10/10 would definitely recommend and would go again!
Went on Halloween as a work team building event! We did the phobia and it was an exciting experience! Perfect for Halloween and for those who want to get their blood pumping! Lots of laughs, screams, and sweat 🤣👻! Micheal was a great host and played our videos after we completed the mission. I love that we get to take a video snippet home for memories! 10/10 would definitely recommend and go again!

Can’t wait to go again!
I’ve played a lot of VR at home but this was the first time at Sandbox and we had a great experience at the Indianapolis location shooting zombies. Good for all skill levels. I would recommend weather you are experienced in VR or have never touched it. Makes for fun family activity or team building exercise. James did a great job leading us through the process of setting up the sensors and getting us in the game. Can’t wait to go again!

3. Demolition Den

Website: https://demolitionden.com/
Address: 5060 E 62nd St Suite 120
Contact: (317) 868-7477 | [email protected]
Hours: Wednesday-Thursday: 4 PM–10 PM; Friday-Saturday: 2 PM–11 PM; Sunday: 12 PM–8 PM
Demolition Den offers an unconventional solution through dual-action stress relief, combining rage rooms for safely breaking items with axe-throwing lanes to provide a visceral outlet for workplace frustration.
Taking part in these high-energy, non-traditional activities creates immediate shared memories while keeping everyone protected under guaranteed safety protocols.
When I tried their axe-throwing lanes with a group of colleagues, the sheer novelty of the activity completely shattered our usual office barriers within minutes.
I also appreciate how this venue specializes in comprehensive corporate event planning, allowing you to rent the facility for up to 35 people with catering handled entirely by their staff.
Just keep in mind that the highly physical and aggressive nature of smashing glass or throwing heavy axes is not for everyone, potentially sidelining employees who prefer lower-impact bonding exercises.
Customer Reviews:
Shockingly therapeutic!
Took a group of former colleagues here to throw sharp objects at wood—shockingly therapeutic! The owner was awesome, gave us great tips to actually land some throws (turns out aim does matter). We laughed the entire time and left feeling like mildly dangerous professionals. Highly recommend for team bonding or post-crisis comms decompression. Ninja stars are shockingly fun! Good thing the Indiana general assembly legalized them
- Andrea Watts | Google Review
We had some great laughs.
This place is amazing! We came for team building after some recent downsizing by our company. We all let off a bunch of pent up energy and had some great laughs. Afo was an amazing host and even let us try our hand at axe throwing. I’m bringing my hubby next!

4. The Escape Room Indianapolis

Website: https://www.escaperoomusa.com/indy/
Address: 200 S Meridian St, Suite 220
Contact: (317) 986-6542
Hours: Sunday-Monday: 12 PM-9:30 PM; Tuesday-Thursday: 10 AM-9:30 PM; Friday-Saturday: 10 AM-12:30 AM
The Escape Room Indianapolis pairs its highly accessible downtown location with passion-driven adventure guides who actively participate in the local experience design community to guarantee top-tier storytelling.
From what I’ve seen, the management team here is deeply invested in industry design coursework. You can expect a robust set of puzzle varieties that demand genuine out-of-the-box thinking!
If your typical event planning involves juggling multiple vendors for a photo booth rental and shuttle transportation, you’ll appreciate how this venue simplifies the schedule.
For instance, its location directly above The Old Spaghetti Factory allows for an effortless transition from team-building puzzles to a sit-down group dinner.
They also provide tailored corporate packages, and teams can comfortably strategize in a dedicated lounge area before the timer starts.
The main drawback is the second-floor accessibility, which requires extra navigation coordination for large groups.
Customer Reviews:
It is a great event for team building for the office.
We completed the Art Gallery for a team building event and had a blast!! Matty and Danny were awesome guides. We finished with just over three min to spare. It is a great event for team building for the office…highly recommended!!

Entertaining and fun!
Great first experience in an escape room. Would definitely come here again. We did the Bank Heist as a team building activity with co-workers. We came close, but didn’t get all of the gold. Money Matt was a fantastic facilitator! Entertaining and fun!

5. Combat Ops Entertainment-Indy

Website: https://combatops.com/indianapolis/
Address: 4650 E Southport Road
Contact: (888) 528-7775
Hours: Monday, Wednesday, Thursday: 12 PM–10 PM; Tuesday: 12 PM–6 PM; Friday: 12 PM–11:30 PM; Saturday: 11 AM–11:30 PM; Sunday: 12 PM–8 PM
Forget the simplistic games you might find at typical gutter-rific bowling alleys; Combat Ops Entertainment-Indy can be closed to the public for corporate groups of up to 200 people.
This facility features an 8,500-square-foot multi-level arena dedicated to mission-based tactical laser tag. They even use real close-quarters optics and objective-based missions tailored specifically to adult skill levels.
Beyond the tactical arena, the venue boasts a diverse lineup of attractions, including an arcade and mini-golf, ensuring every employee finds a comfortable niche.
They even have fully equipped party rooms with LCD TVs, letting you seamlessly shift from morning presentations to afternoon entertainment.
Organizers also benefit from the on-site cafe serving adult beverages, eliminating the need for external catering. However, since it operates as a multi-age entertainment center, the general atmosphere can feel incredibly chaotic outside of private rooms.
Customer Reviews:
We had a lot of fun!
We had our team building event here. We had a lot of fun! We did Ax Throwing and Laser Tag. It was a wonderful experience! I can’t wait to come back for the arcade and putt-putt. It all looked so fun!!
- Stephanie Barnes | Google Review
Highly recommend.
Aspen and Andrea were great to work with. They were prompt in responding to questions and ironing out our work event. Laser tag was a blast, and the arcade cards were fun. The group arcade cards excluded prize games which is totally fair. But there were a good amount of non-prize games we couldn’t play as well which was kind of a bummer. Would still highly recommend, and we’re interesting in trying the dodgeball, nerf guns, and axe throwing. They also were more than accommodating for a catered lunch.
