From the gorgeous campus to the full continuum of care, excellent food options, robust calendar of activities, beautiful apartment choices, to a dedicated and tenured staff, it is all quite impressive. Despite all of the wonderful amenities what will really give you a lasting impression when you visit Marquette is the engaging and happy residents. Nothing can compare to residents stopping you in the hallway or one of the many common areas to tell you how much they love living there.

However, since this is part of a large corporate network, how they run things is highly standardized. Families who want the flexible feel of a small private facility might find this environment a little rigid.

We have peace of mind

Connecting with nature is very good for your health, but many care centers are stuck in busy cities. Hoosier Village offers a refreshing change because it sits on a beautiful 300-acre campus.
This large space gives seniors plenty of room to enjoy nature while still having access to medical care. The community features miles of walking trails and lovely scenery right outside your door.
Residents can choose to live in a duplex or a standard apartment. There is also a wellness center for fitness classes and several different places to eat.
However, the campus’s sheer size can be a challenge. You have to walk much longer distances to get from your home to the main activities.
This might be difficult for people who have trouble moving around.
Still, it is a wonderful place for those who love the outdoors.

This is a very top quality facility
I do not live here. However, I have been fortunate over the years to experience the joys of many retirement homes and nursing facilities.
First thing I noticed was that it did not smell of urine (this is a positive). Second, the hallways are wide and clean. Third, it is lighted well and bright. Fourth, the rooms in the assisted living are really spacious.
Bottom line – this is a very top quality facility.
