Today, my family and I decided to have dinner at Shah’s Halal Food — and what an incredible experience it was!
The food was absolutely delicious, with rich flavors and perfect seasoning. I highly recommend it to the Muslim community and to anyone who loves chicken and meat dishes.
If you haven’t tried it yet, do yourself a favor and visit at least once — you’ll thank me later! 😊

This was some of the best halal food in the indianapolis area! The portion sizes were amazing, they really loaded up the sandwiches. The sauce was SO GOOD and the price was very reasonable. I got the lamb gyro and my mom and sister got chicken. Both were amazing, but I personally preferred the lamb. I got baklava as well and it was delicious. Everyone that worked there was so nice!

Kabab Grill is a fantastic spot if you want high-quality chicken shawarma wraps bursting with juicy, mouthwatering flavors. Frequent diners consistently highlight the exceptional falafel and creamy hummus as standout items in the city.
When I visited last week to try their mixed grill plate, I was amazed at how freshly prepared, smoky, and surprisingly light the meal felt.
The cozy physical ambiance provides a very comfortable and welcoming dining experience for small groups.
On the downside, some customers report that the French fries occasionally lack the expected crispiness and savory punch compared to the stellar meat dishes.

There’s also an extensive menu, with excellent, spice-rich vegetarian and vegan options alongside their classic meat selections.
However, the dining space is quite small, which can make it feel crowded during peak dinner hours and often requires a reservation in advance.
Nonetheless, the intimate atmosphere truly evokes traditional Turkish dining, with its beautiful decor and warm service.
Customer Review
We visited this Turkish cafe on the 5th of March, 2025. It was exactly what we searched for – Halal food on the way from Dayton, Ohio to Chicago, IL. The quality of food was great, and the portions were huge and tasty. The whole atmosphere of oriental taste is worth returning again. The staff was very polite and we eveb did have a warm conversation with the owner, Orhan.
Recommend this Bosphorus Istanbul cafe to visit.

It is my second time in a Turkish restaurant; the vibes are awesome. Adnan kebab and salad were delicious. The food is halal. The most important thing is the Turkish coffee; it was perfect. Staff are friendly as well.

4. Taste of Yemen Restaurant

Address: 4672 W 38th St.
Contact: (317) 746-6966

Anyone hungry for robust flavors will love Taste of Yemen’s generous portions of authentic, well-balanced Middle Eastern and Yemeni cuisine, served with complimentary sides.
Here, you can always expect delicious, aromatic flavor profiles in all of their deeply traditional dishes. The high-quality, well-balanced spice blends used consistently in their tender meat dishes make every bite wonderfully memorable.
They also provide lovely complimentary extras, such as a fresh, crunchy house salad with the main meal, giving you excellent overall value for the price you pay.
A noticeable drawback is the somewhat inattentive in-person service during busy lunch or dinner hours. You might have to wait to order and receive drink refills.
Still, the incredibly generous portion sizes make the occasional wait in the dining room entirely worthwhile for serious food enthusiasts.

Wallah one of the best restaurants I have ever eaten at. Alhamdulillah amazing halal food and good tea. Nice prayer area and no music playing. Private bathrooms suitable for making wudhu. There are booths available with curtains as well if you would like privacy while eating. Attentive and kind service. Overall, a very pleasant dining experience. Highly recommend!

We were in Indianapolis for a weekend and found this restaurant which had halal food. We had the take out order of their mixed grill.
Everything on the mixed grill plate was perfection including the accompaniments. This platter can feed 3 hungry adults. All the meats were juicy, smoky and the rice was very flavorful. The sauces and the pickles worked in harmony with the meats.
Must try spot for everyone that like middle eastern flavors

Get the chicken shawarma; it’s fantastic. Really friendly staff; showed up once with friends and were told it was an hour wait (busy night), but one of the cooks took care of us within 15-20 minutes. They have kosher and halal options, and some American-ish options.
