Hours: Monday – Thursday, 5:00 PM – 8:30 PM Friday, 5:00 PM – 8:00 PM Saturday, 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM
Training under a globally recognized curriculum gives you a massive advantage. That’s exactly what you get as an official affiliate of the American Top Team network.
Serious competitors will appreciate the specialized boxing sessions here, which are designed explicitly for combat preparation.
I recently spoke with a close friend who trains in this gym, and they raved about how the comprehensive schedule seamlessly blends Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and kickboxing under one roof.
We also like the Friday open gym hours, which let you hit the heavy bags independently.
The only real downside is that the facility is completely closed on Sundays, which eliminates weekend training opportunities for athletes working heavy weekday hours.

2. Circle City Martial Arts & Fitness

Website: https://www.ccmaf.com/
Address: 1202 N Illinois St
Contact: (317) 650-2455
Hours: Monday – Thursday: 4:30 PM – 8:30 PM, Friday: 4:30 PM – 7:30 PM, Saturday: 9:30 AM – 1:00 PM
Grappling fans looking for a highly effective no-gi system will find their home in Circle City. It serves as the official 10th Planet Jiu-Jitsu affiliate.
This means you get authentic techniques from a coaching staff that actively competes in local tournaments. This level of instruction ensures every move works inside a modern cage.
The head coach is a military veteran who instills a deep sense of discipline and respect on the mats for both beginners and seasoned fighters.
But because the primary focus anchors heavily on the 10th Planet system, athletes seeking pure kickboxing programs or other martial arts might find the curriculum heavily skewed toward submission grappling.

Can’t Wait To Come Back
Great gym! Super welcoming to all levels with incredibly technical and patient coaching. I dropped in for the Saturday morning kickboxing and no-gi classes, and let me tell you—these guys put in the work! The gym culture strikes the perfect balance between hard work, fun, and technical learning. Whether you’re just starting or an experienced fighter, this place is awesome. I can’t wait to come back! Hands down, one of the best fighter/MMA gyms around.

3. Indy Boxing and Grappling

Website: https://www.indyboxingandgrappling.com/
Address: 4903 E 23rd St
Contact: Facebook @IndyBoxingandGrappling, Instagram @indy.boxing
Hours: Monday – Friday, 6:15 PM – 9:00 PM Saturday, 8:15 AM – 11:30 PM
Simulating real fight conditions requires proper equipment. That’s why Indy Boxing and Grappling delivers a fully equipped training environment.
Their gym features an authentic elevated boxing ring alongside expansive grappling mats. When I dropped in for a session last month, the professional-grade setup instantly made me want to push my physical limits during the grueling training drills.
They offer a structured weekly schedule covering Muay Thai and wall wrestling to develop well-rounded fighters. They also openly welcome walk-ins to remove the barrier of online booking.
However, the facility is completely closed on Sundays, which unfortunately limits scheduling flexibility for dedicated athletes requiring seven-day access to stay in peak condition.

Finding a tight-knit training community prioritizing long-term health success over quick-fix fitness gimmicks is extremely rare. That is, until you find Triumph Boxing & Martial Arts.
This facility focuses explicitly on guiding each member toward personal growth. You’ll be learning from a staff boasting elite qualifications, including head coaches with highly respected United States of America Weightlifting sports performance certifications.
They even provide members with a dedicated smartphone app to seamlessly track individualized workout programming and fitness center routines.
Unfortunately, on Tuesdays and Thursdays, the gym doesn’t open until the evening, preventing early risers from maintaining a consistent morning training schedule across the full work week.

Making Time To Get A Pass
Was here on and off during a short stint I had in Indy and I’m very glad I picked this gym. Strong family vibe, passionate teachers, inclusive sparring/training culture, and very clean (the most important one). They do a really good job of exposing people to very advanced techniques safely; I think I had way more freedom here to workshop new moves/combos than any other gym I’ve been to. If ever I’m back in Indy again I’m 100% making time to get a day/week pass.

Positive, Knowledgeable, And Supportive
This gym is amazing! The coaches are positive, knowledgeable, and supportive. I appreciate that it is centered around techniques and getting better at the practice, but you still get a great workout. You can start at any level and feel welcomed, supported, and empowered by both the coaches and other students in the class as well.

5. MMA CR

Website: https://www.mmacr.us/
Address: 242 Gradle Dr
Contact: (317) 665-4192
Hours: Monday – Thursday, 5:30 AM – 7:30 AM, 5:00 PM – 8:30 PM Friday, 5:30 AM – 7:30 AM, 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM Saturday, 9:00 AM – 11:00 AM
Practicing an incredibly rare Eastern European grappling art is entirely possible here. MMA CR uniquely offers specialized instruction in both sport and combat Sambo.
The head coach brings over three decades of intense combat experience, having served as a wrestling sparring partner for a former Ultimate Fighting Championship athlete.
He, along with the professional instructors, meticulously divides their student base into distinct age brackets to ensure safe and highly focused development during every single session.
However, similar to committing to a weekly dance class, getting here requires serious dedication. The suburban Carmel location creates a significantly longer commute for those living downtown.
