Find out your health status today with the 5 best health screening clinics in Indianapolis

best-health-screenings-indianapolis
We extensively test and research all services we review. Here's why you can trust us.
  • Accessibility: We looked at how easy it is to actually get an appointment or walk in for a visit. Clinics with extended hours and weekend availability scored higher because they fit better into a busy schedule.

  • Range of Services: We checked the variety of tests and physicals offered by each location. A good clinic should handle everything from basic bloodwork to more specialized diagnostic evaluations.

  • Affordability: We considered the transparency of pricing and the options for uninsured patients. Facilities that offer clear self-pay rates or accept a wide mix of insurance plans provide better value.

  • Patient Experience: We evaluated the overall atmosphere and the thoroughness of the medical staff. Friendly providers who take the time to explain your test results make the whole process much less stressful.

Taking charge of your well-being starts with knowing exactly what’s going on inside your body. Whether you’re a busy professional trying to stay ahead of potential issues or a parent managing pediatric health, routine check-ups are essential.

Regular tests help catch minor problems before they turn into major headaches.

That said, finding the best health screening clinics in Indianapolis can feel overwhelming with so many different options available. We know how stressful it can be to navigate medical appointments and surprise bills.

That’s why we put together this guide to help you find a reliable spot for your next wellness exam.

IU Health Urgent Care in Brownsburg provides solid non-life-threatening medical care backed by a massive healthcare network.

They offer comprehensive on-site diagnostics and even have specialized walk-in provisions for veterans under the Mission Act. This makes them a highly reliable option for routine bloodwork and basic physicals.

I actually went here last fall for a routine wellness check and appreciated how fast the staff got me into a room.

One thing to keep in mind is their walk-in capacity, because if you show up too close to closing time, they might turn you away depending on how busy they are. It’s always better to go earlier in the day to secure your spot.

Pros

Doctors are great

They saw me very quickly and were able to get me out of there in less than 30 minutes. Laurie was my nurse and the one who picked up the phone, and she was fantastic and super friendly and upbeat which really helped the environment. I also really liked Dr. Amanda Hill who was my doctor or NP she was great

Doctor listened actively

I appreciate the “save a spot” option when examining the website, for I only waited 15 minutes before being called in. In addition, the nurse was thorough in her questionnaire, which made it easier for the doctor to assess. Finally, the doctor listened actively, asking questions along the way to ensure he understood what my ailment was.

2. The Center for Fully Functional Health

Website: https://fullyfunctional.com/

Address: 40 North Rangeline Rd, Carmel

Contact: 317-989-8463 | [email protected]

Hours: Monday-Thursday 8:00 AM-5:00 PM

The Center for Fully Functional Health uses a unique functional medicine approach and advanced holistic diagnostics to identify the root causes of chronic illness.

Led by dual board-certified physicians, they create highly personalized treatment plans rather than just handing out quick prescriptions.

This clinic is perfect if you want a deep dive into your overall well-being. They perform comprehensive health assessments and provide specialized diagnostic evaluations for complex issues like mold illness or hormone abnormalities.

They also offer neat integrative therapies like lymphatic drainage and red light therapy to boost your long-term health.

The biggest downside here is their limited schedule, as the clinic is completely closed on Fridays and weekends. This makes it pretty tough to schedule a visit if you work a standard weekday job.

Pros

  • Comprehensive whole-body health assessments
  • Specialized diagnostics for complex conditions
  • Highly personalized medical strategies
  • Integrative support therapies available

Cons

  • Closed on Fridays and weekends

Genuine and really want to help me

Dr. Ellen is one of a kind! I know that she not only cares for me as a patient, but as a person too. I’ve seen many providers and she is very talented! The staff are all very friendly and quick to respond to any questions I may have. I feel that Dr. Ellen and hear team are genuine and really want to help me to move my health forward!

Extremely grateful for the time and care

Could not recommend Dr Ellen and Dr Scott more! They really take the time to listen to you and find the root cause of medical issues rather than just putting a ban aide on symptoms. I am extremely grateful for the time and care that they put into every meeting. You can tell that they genuinely care and will listen to everything you have to say! I highly recommend them

Impressed with what they taught me

Breezie gave a new perspective on what I thought I knew and it turns out I didn’t know shit. Please keep sending her in the community to give education. The Harm Reduction provided me with alof of education and they were very patient and I am impressed with what they taught me. They all are just great!

Have been compassionate, caring, and knowledgeable

Very few public service organizations are nice.

The Damian Center blows every single one of them outta the water.

ALL of the staff I have interacted with have been companionate, caring, knowledgeable, respectful, empathetic and so much more!

Right away my fears of being “judged” or “ridiculed” disappeared.

The welcoming and acceptance was so foreign that I actually cried when I got home (that was/is a very good thing).

I’m not use to feeling better after being around people.

Simply put, I’m a better person because of the staff.

I could go on, but I digress.

4. Concentra Urgent Care

concentra-urgent-care

Website: https://www.concentra.com/

Address: 500 N Capitol Ave, Ste A

Contact: 317-983-5400

Hours: Monday-Friday 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM

Concentra Urgent Care specializes heavily in occupational medicine to provide employers and workers with a streamlined system for regulatory physicals. They’re the go-to spot for routine workplace evaluations and injury care.

They conduct comprehensive pre-employment physicals, Department of Transportation (DOT) physicals, and specialized respiratory exams.

A coworker of mine recently went here for a fitness-for-duty evaluation and mentioned how efficient their dedicated on-site laboratory was. They process diagnostic tests and baseline health monitoring very quickly.

The main drawback is their heavy focus on workplace health. They primarily cater to employer-mandated needs rather than standard family medicine or general pediatric care.

Pros

  • Comprehensive pre-employment and DOT physicals
  • Dedicated on-site diagnostic laboratories
  • Extensive preventative surveillance tracking
  • Access to a dedicated telemedicine platform

Cons

  • Primarily caters to employer-mandated needs

Customer Reviews

They went above and beyond the normal visits

I had a A+ visit and experience with Rasheedah & Leah (I hope I spelled names correctly)!!! They went above and beyond the normal visits I’ve ever attended at any Concentra facility from here to the West Coast! Answered all my questions and definitely made my visit as comfortable and a quick visit as could be! They are a GREAT representative of that location!!!

I have words & opinions of the facilities parking arrangements but I don’t want that to down the Shine, experience and time I had with the Staff!!!

Friendly, fast, and efficient

I do traveling healthcare and I’ve been to many concentra locations across the country. For each new contract, there are several things that need to be done. Concentra was friendly, fast and efficient. Their staff was very personable and got me in and out faster than I ever have. I highly recommend this location for any service that they offer.

Customer Reviews

Courteous, kind, and efficient

This was a great experience. I appreciate everything from the cleanliness, the kind man at the front desk, to the intake professional, to the medical care. Everyone in their own role was courteous, kind, and efficient. When you are not feeling well, and you have braced yourself for the unknown, receiving excellent care was very humbling. Thank you for those who worked on the 4th of January. I would recommend this facility to anyone.

Good attitudes all around

Blown away by my experience at an urgent care. Everyone working, from check in to check out were amazing. Good attitudes all around, kind, listening, and supportive. Didn’t wait long at all and felt like the MD was there to spend time with me and help. Also clean location, felt comfortable. Husband came here a few months ago for acute asthma and told me he was thrilled with his care. Both had great experiences months apart.
